This is the GoL thread for the Intercoven Quest. Only the following people are able to post here:

Amid a glittering cascade of jeweled light, new face arrives in the Club called Blaze. The woman stands roughly 5’9” tall, and is dressed in a white gauze sari, highlighted with a pale blue wrap. Her long honey blonde hair cascades over her shoulders to fall down her back. On her forehead she wears a circlet of gold, capped with a single blue gemstone. Her beautiful face is creased with apparent concern as she surveys the people there before purposefully striding towards a group of GoL members who are sitting together conversing quietly. She stands quietly outside the group until a lull in the conversation allows her to interrupt. She speaks softly so as not to be overheard.

“Greetings in the name of the Light. My name is Kole; the Crystal Keeper, and I would speak to you privately of a matter of great import. Is there somewhere here that we can speak without prying eyes and listening ears (nodding towards the various members of the MoE who are milling about but paying her little attention at the moment)?”

Kole gestures towards one of the larger private rooms, then makes her way to it and enters, allowing the others to follow at their leisure. The Guardians of Light, figuring that since the club is considered a Haven from the inter-coven fighting as well as the fact that they outnumber the woman considerably, choose to follow her. If there is something is something to what she has to tell them, then good, they will be warned. If this is some sort of trap, then this Kole will find out just how dangerous a room full of annoyed Guardians is.

By ones and two’s they make their way into the room. When the last of them enters, Kole shuts the door firmly behind them and holds up a crystal to the doorway, causing it to glow a pale gold around the door jam. She turns to them, looking over those who have joined her.

“My time is short, my friends and I have a great deal to reveal to you. If there are any among you who are skilled in determining truth, I ask you to use your powers now. Every word that I have come to tell you is true.”

“Long ago, so far back in history that their full origins are lost to us, there came to be a set of 6 gemstones of incredible power. Each controlled an aspect of the universe, Mind, Time, Space, Reality, Soul and Power. Alone, each of the Gems gives mastery over its sphere of influence to its bearer, together though, they would grant the power of the Highest One to the one who wields them. After many altercations among the forces of Light and Darkness, the Gems were hidden away from the world. For countless years, the gems have remained safely hidden from all except the Crystal Keepers. We were charged with the task of making sure that no one and especially none of those who are dedicated to evil’s dark pathways, would ever be able to find the Gems and until just days ago, we had managed to perform our task with little interference.”

Kole pauses in her tale, to look over her audience. It was imperative that they believed her.

“One of the Masters of Evil found the location of one of the Gems and slaughtered its Keeper, stealing away the Gem for his own dire purposes. With his dying breath, the Keeper cast a failsafe spell to banish the Gems from the Earthly plane. The Keepers believe that this Ikaris is planning on reuniting all the Gems and gaining untold power in the process. I need your help to recover the Gems so that they can once again be placed in safekeeping. Will you help me and save the world?”
 
:: Sitting at a table with the other GoL's, she is vaguely aware of the woman standing just outside of the group, until the woman starts to speak. Jules then stands up and follows Kole into one of the larger private rooms. Once in the room Jules walks over to one of the walls and leans her back against it, crossing her arms infront of her, watching the womans every move::

:: As Kole starts to speak again Jules looks over at Kevin and Kara, both of who have empathic powers, so they would be able to tell if Kole spoke the truth or not. Seeing them stay quite she turns her attention back to Kole. After the other woman has finished speaking Jules raises her eyebrows and shrugs one of her shoulders::

'That sounds like it could be fun...count me in...'
 
::Sitting at the table with the other GOLs, Val listens to Kole and glances at the MOLs figuring that if this us indeed at trap, they would know. Sitting straight up and her hand not far from her weapon, Val nods in agreement with Jules.::

"Count me in."

::pressing her lips together. Val looks at every GoL at the table.::
 
::sitting at the table, she looks at the other gols. while she is listening to Kole´s words, she knows what jules wants her to do. she tries to guess the true inttentions of that woman but she feels nothing::
::sends to jules a telephatic message::
"i think we have to trust in her."

ok, not very sure about this, but count me in
 
:: leaning against the wall with her shoulder, she straightens upon hearing Kole's tail and nods. Her powers of naturalism slicing through facades or untruths, she knew the woman's words to be truth. ::

"Your words are true. We will do whatever we can to help recover these gems. But i must ask - which gem has Ikaris taken? I would like to know more about this situation before we begin."
 
Kole:"Ikaris battled the keeper of the Mind Gem. It will grant him telepathic and telekinetic abilities far in excess of what he might have normally possessed. For a skilled telepath, using the gem would enable them to place most of the planet under their mental domination. For one with telekinetic ability, they would literally be able to lift small mountains. Do understand why the Gems have been hidden away? This is only one of the Gems. What would someone be capable of if they had all of them?"

Kole casts her eyes over the group.

"If you agree to help, I have to give you an important warning about the Gems. You must not touch any of the Gems. Since they are dispersed, there is no way to tell them apart and should you touch the Soul Gem, your essence could be trapped within the confines of the Gem forever. It feeds from the souls of those it captures and has become almost intelligent in the process. If any of you touch the Gem, it is likely to take over your body and capture the souls of your companions."
 
:: Kevin immeidatly became aware of the womans pressance, allowing himself to be lead towards the back larger room of the club. Checking his sheaths on his side he sighed, his Kama's were intact. All though he doubted he would need to use them, as Kole spoke he scanned her mind with Empathic powers aswell as telepathic. Nodding towards Jules knowing what she was thinking he leaned on one of the walls on the room. Scanning the room for his fellow Guardians, there was not much of them there which would proove to make this quest even more difficult ::

" Count me in, I've been itching it get out anyway "

:: Cracking his knuckles he went over things in his mind, if they did come in contact with Ikaris it wouldent be pretty, then again he had a feeling nothing would be good on their quest to find the gems. Nodding he got up, heaving another sigh he stretched his arms over his head looking at his fellow Guardians ::
 
OOC: I am proceeding and will allow the rest to catch up. Levitation is replacing Electron on the Quest.


BIC:
Kole hands everyone in the group a small crystal pendant on a silver chain as they are arming themselves with their weapons and talismans. She gestures for them to put them on.

Kole: “These pendants will help lead you to the Gems. They will serve to track the gems through time and space and will return you here after you have gathered them. Time is short my friends even now…”

Kole’s eyes get a faraway look for a moment. Then her expression becomes panicked.

“Shards! He knows! I can feel him coming. The mind gem is here, I can feel its presence.”

The shadows in the room begin to thicken and swirl together forming a shadowy humanoid form. It advances on Kole, even as she touches the gemstone in her circlet. A tube like portal forms in the wall with a crashing booming sound.

Ikaris: “Witch! I won’t have you ruining everything I am working towards! I’ll crush your puny allies and dance on your corpse.”

The GoL members can feel a touch of the Mind Gem’s power. Even those whose natural psychic defenses would protect them can feel its strength. Kole makes a grab for Ikaris’ body trying to distract him.

Kole: “Hurry, my friends! You will be safe on the other side of the portal. I don’t matter! Nothing matters but your mission! If I fall then one of the other Keepers will rise to take my place. Go! Now!”

They feel a pressure shoving them into the portal. Their last sight of Kole is of her being swallowed by the shadows that Ikaris controls.

The portal opens with another boom on a scene from Hell. The GoL find themselves on a planet choked with huge smokestacks and with a dark red sky. Firepits can be seen dotting the landscape from their vantagepoint on a building ledge high above the ground. Chanting can be heard, making its way up from the ground below.

Chanting: “Darkseid (pronounced Dark-side) is all! All Hail Darkseid!”

The sheer malevolence of the place threatens to overwhelm the most sensitive of the group…
 
:: Kevins eyes widend in horror, he could sense Ikaris's presence even as Kole spoke, prepared to fight his Kamas somewhat lifted out of their sheaths. his Aura glowing brightly he glared towards the shadows which were forming. His eyes narrowing he was distracted by the large booming sound to his left, looking towards the portal he felt himself being sucked in, wanting to help Kole he felt his body swallowed up by the large portal. Kole was no more. Looking around the new scene he rolled his eyes ::

" How lovely "

:: His telepathic and Empathic powers tried to hone in on the chanting, his body lifting off the ground slightly he squinted his eyes, using his enhanced senses to hone on to the chanting it seemed to be coming from everywhere, playing with the silver chain Kole had given him he looked towards the others, most likely Will and Tash with a "What do we do now" look ::

" This isnt exactly my idea of getting out "

:: Looking around he shivered in the planets air, it seemed a bit much to him but none the less he would help find the gems, if someone had given their life for them he would do the same ::
 
::she takes the pendant and puts it on. she listening to kole when her lunar amulet glows, advicing about the evil presence. she also can feel him and she scares because never before she has felt something like that. she sees the portal but she would like to do something for Kole. it´s too late and she knows it. she jumps into the portal and appears somewhere. she waits for the rest of the gols and notices that kevin is there too::

"nice beggining, don´t you think so? i hope that everybody is ok."
 
:: Eos comes down Blaze's stairs, and can't seem to find the other GoL members. Then, she catches Kevin's backside walking into one of the rooms. Quickly, she follows, and hurries into the room before Kole shuts the door. Listening intently, she takes the pendant and is ultimately calm until Chaos breaks loose when a portal opens. Following everyone else, she drops into the hellish plain with the chanting. Placing the pendant around her neck, Eos audibly gasps at the closeness of the planets in the sky.::

"That is way too close for comfort..."

:: Quieting down, she tries to get a feel for the place, and readies to raise her deflective shield for any reason.::

"Anybody have a plan, of sorts? We can't go galavanting about as if we belong, obviously."
 
:: Taking the pendant from Kole, she then leans back against the wall, until Kole's expression becomes a look of panic. Noticing the shadow start to fill the room her eyes widen in suprise, before she can do anything there's a loud boom and she is being sucked into a portal. Landing on a building ledge, in what appeared to be a hell dimension, she rises and looks around::

'Lovely....'

:: Looking around at her fellow GoL's she hears the chanting coming from beneath them::

'This will be like looking for a needle in a hay stack.'

:: Taking a deep breath she places her hands on her hips::

'Ok.....Kole said that the Keeper banished the Gems...we know the Keeper didn't want these Gems to be in the hands of good or evil...so unless whoevers down there has found one of the Gems....it still could be anywhere on this planet...'

:: Looking over the edge, she then tuns back to the other GoL's::

'As a suggestion.....I say we take a look down there to see if they have the Gem.....they seem awful happy about something....'

:: She then turns to Tash and Will to see what they think::
 
:: Glancing around, Will speaks mentally to the members, careful to block it from anyone else.::

Alright...let's keep it down with the actual chatter. Too much noise. Especially when you're trying to spy on someone. Ok, give me two members to go invisible and search around them, and two in the background to watch over them and to jump in if they need help. That'll be an alert for the rest for if the rest of us are needed. If you are careful, then it shouldn't be a problem. Simply search the area, and report back.
 
:: resting the pendant about her neck, she nods to Kole ::

"Consider it done..."

:: then suddenly, she feels the presence of Ikaris and gasps in horror as Kole pushes them through the portal - knowing that the woman sacrificed her life to allow them the time to escape ::

:: appearing in a world different than any she had seen before, but yet somehow familiar, she nods to the GoL's and switches her senses into a different gear. Changing to mindspeak, something she did without hesitation and thinking, she nodded ::

Will is right. We have enough worries without adding to them the threat of discovery. Who will scout?
 
:: Eos whispers raspily.::

"I hear ya...but I don't have mind-speak, remember?"

:: But at Natasha's question, Eos raises her hand, to signal she wouldn't mind scouting. She looks up again, and shudders at the closeness of the planets. She begins to finger her pendant.::
 
::Val puts her pendant on. Keeping silent, she listens to the mols mindspeak. Putting her hand up to volunteer to help scout. Val looks at Eos, and nods a little towards her.::
 
:: Watching as Eos and Val offer to scout, Jules looks at Will and Tash then back at the other two GoL's::

I'll watch their backs....
 
:: Kevin watched as his fellow Guardians spoke, mentally and physically, he dropped back next to Jules. His eyes glowing a faint errie blue before changing back to normal, he looked towards Tash and Will quickly diverting his attention towards Eos and Val who had already began their descent down the small edge ::

So I guess Jules and I will be on look out duty? If who ever they are even think about hurting them they'll never be thinking anything again

:: Sighing faintly his eyes squinted once more, peering with his enhanced senses keeping Val and Eos's position locked in his mind ::
 
::she listens what will and tash has said and pays attetion to the rest of the gols::

I don´t how i can be useful staying here but i know that they will be fine. ok, i´ll wait.

::she looks at the rest of the gols and tries to connect with kevin to know that everything goes right::
