OOC: Sorry, was unclear on what your "dismissed" meant exactly. Could have been simply relieved of their duties to do whatever, which is what i commonly know dismissed as being..especially when referring to things military wise. (that being warriors, armies, etc.) So they all just went 'poof' then?

BIC:
Alright..guess we wait till we figure out what Eos sees then, and see what Natasha says about it.

::she stops when she notices that something goes wrong, staying next to jules, waits for the next move of will´s plan but there is nothing to fight against. Natasha conects her to the rest of the gols and she waits for Eos description::

OOC: Sorry, will, my fault. I have it pictured in my mind and knew what I meant, lol.

The guards/warriors leave the area, some taking to the sky after being dismissed by Granny. The way to Granny's orphanage lies open. The group re-gathers and follows down the hallway, using their stealth powers to their maximum. The hallway opens up on a large courtyard where children are being trained in the usage of swords and lazer pistols. The greatest horror is that the children are practicing on each other.

Across the courtyard, they can see the distinct shock of white hair that belongs to Granny. She is giving the little girl she "rescued" to one of the drill sargeants. She slaps the child smartly across the face when the child begins to cry. Leaving the child, she and the Furies enter another hallway and disappear from sight.

What are we going to do? We can't just let them treat children like this!

::Val looks at the scene in digust.::

I know we are here just to recover the gem, but little children practicing to battle on other children!

Val is right! We can't just leave these children here to kill each other. It might be risky but maybe if we can get the gem, afterwards,we can save the children.

: Kyroe squats down in a corner watching the children fighting with each other. He sees some of the kids smiling at one another. He shakes his head when he sees all of their bruises and cuts. He turns back to Will:

So what's the plan gonna be?

:: Following the rest of the group down the hallway, she stops when they reach the open courtyard. Clenching her fist when she sees Granny slapping the child. She looks at Val as she speaks, then turns her attention to Will and Tash, waiting to see what they wanted to be done next::

::she follows the group and looks at the children. she tries to connect with them but all she can feel it´s hatred. she knows they should stop that but she is not sure. maybe it´s a trick, a way to distract the gols of the real mission. anyway, she prefers to trust in their instinct and waits to see what will and natasha think::

:: listening to everyone she closes her eyes, pausing before looking at them all and mindspeaking ::

I agree that what is happening is horrendous, but we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted. Kole gave her life to get us here, and i am not going to throw that away in some vain hope that we can rescue all of these children. We came her to recapture the gem, and that is what we will do. We will not be swayed into doing something else that although is terrible, is not our main concern. Our focus is on the gem, and that is what we will place all our efforts into attaining. Once we have the gem and it is safe, then we can decide whether we wish to do something about this.

:: letting her words sink in, she looks to will, before turning to the rest of the side ::

I don't know what Will's thoughts are on the matter, but i will caution that it is dangerous messing in the affairs of a race of people we know nothing about. Not everything is as it seems. Who can say that if we intervene here those areas where the rest of the gems are being guarded will be alerted to our activities? I will not risk the lives of any of you in what seems to be a futile attempt to save others. We need everyone just to recapture the gems and keep them safe. To me, the risk in this decision is just to great at the moment.

Across the courtyard, one of the Furies has returned from the hallway but she brings with her three wolves that have been cybernetically enhanced. The chrome of their enhancements gives them an even more dangerous look than their large size.

Artemis: "Well, my pretty ones, what do you think? Shall we liven up the brats training a little?"

The wolves seem almost eager to attack the children, but the pack leader, a large female begins to scent the air. She is almost able to sense the GoL and begins to pace, trying to get a firmer fix on the intruders.

:: Kevin closed his eyes, thankfully agreeing with Natasha even though the children were suffering so are alot of other people in the real world. If they didnt get this Gem then all hell could break loose, literally ::

Tash is right, We cant let one little horrible act mess this whole thing up for us

:: Looking towards Artimis and the cybernetic wolves the Nexus shot a glance towards both Leaders ::

Crap, Anything we can do about this?

The wolves are unable to track down the scent ofthe intruders in their domain and begin to whine and paw the ground in frustration.

The GoL send silent prayers of thankfulness that thus far they have remained undiscovered. They are all aware though, that this is likely to change and probably quickly.

Artemis and her wolves head back inside even as the training comes to an end and the children are herded into a set of barracks by the drill instructors. Energy whips crack over the heads of the children, occasionally connecting with tender flesh. Soon the courtyard is deserted, making this the time to move. Crossing the courtyard hurredly, they manage to make it to the hallway. Stealthily, they make their way to what appears to be a large command room.

Granny Goodness and the Furies are watching a large video monitor. One the screen is a small man who immediately brings to mind the words weaselly, snivelling and greasy. He is certainly not not someone to inspire trust. They overhear part of the conversation and hear Granny address him as Desaad.

Granny: "....Desaad, what does this gem have to do with either me or my girls?"

Desaad: "Granny, think of it, my initial tests already show that this stone has immense power. It seems to resonate with the essence of a person. I have seen it completely absorb the life force of several of my ....subjects. What else might it do? We could conceivably use it to establish ourselves as major powers. I simply need several of your Furies to maintain order here while I conduct my experiments."

Granny: "Desaad you little worm, you have a deal! Lashina, assemble a squad of your best and go to Desaad's laboratory"

Desaad looks quite pleased and the screen blinks off. Seeing that the connection is broken, Granny turns to Lashina.

Granny: "Lashina, you know what you need to do. If this gemstone proves to be as powerful as Desaad claims, take it over his dead body and bring it to me."

Lashina grins at Granny and calls a squad together. Bernadeth, Mad Harriet, Malice, Artemis and her wolves, Bloody Mary and Guilotina all join the leather clad Mistress of Whips.

:: Kevin as the rest of the Guardians take the time when the training room was deserted to hurry into the hallway, moving unnotciably and hovering acouple feet off the ground careful not to leave any footprints or any sound what so ever. Floating back down towards the ground he pressed his body up against the walls of the Control room. Every ounce of concentration placed on Granny and her conversation, shooting another glance over towards the rest of the Guardians of light he had no need to mind speak. They knew that the stone he was talking about was one of the stones they were looking for ::

Tash, Will, Plan of action or what?

:: Keeping himself invisible aswell as focusing on his surroundings he was itching for something, itching to get that Gem. He wasent usually the one to jump head first into a fight but it Kole gave her life for these gems then they couldent fall into anyones hands ::

::she steps into the room and she tries to assumme what they have heard. they now have the chance to recover one of the gems and kill those horrible people. as everybody seems to know about the gem, the fight will be hard but staying together, nothing can go wrong. she waits for the next decission of the leaders::

:: Listening to the conversation, Jules raises her eyebrow as she listens to Desaad describe the effects of the Gem::

Doesn't that sound a bit like the Soul Gem?

:: Hearing Granny's conversation with Lashina, Jules shakes her head slightly::

This just gets better and better......

:: She then waits for Tash and Will's next orders::

OOC: Sorry for not being here, guys

BIC:

:: As they watch what goes on, thoughts flash through Eos' mind.::

Which stone?? And what should we do?

:: She hugs the shadows, still invisible.::

Will, Tash, this b!tch is very vulnerable...I think we should go bust her up...now, before anymore lackeys show up

::she listens to the rest of the group and looks at Eos::

I think that we can attack first the furies. i don´t trust in the old woman. it´s like a bad feeling but i think that we should leave her alone, without any help and that attack her until she tells us what we need to know to recover the gem

The Furies gather to leave the "Orphanage". The GoL members are now faced with a choice. To either try to take revenge on Granny or to follow the Furies to try to complete their mission.

Guys, I think we need to follow the Furies. If they get their hands on this Gem....Granny's going to be the least of our problems....and what's happening to those kids is probably going to look like a day in the park....

:: She then turns towards Will and Tash, waiting to see what they wanted them to do::

::she looks at jules::

I agree with you jules. if we follow the furies, we can get the gem and, after that, we´ll have time to solve this problem. i know that the children are going to stay here when we´d finish. without the furies, granny won´t have a chance against us

::she waits for an answer from will or tash. they have been really quiet and now the gols need to take a decision::

:: Kevins body felt torn between the two decisions, he had agreed with Jules and Kara but how did they know this wasent Granny's trick? For all they have known their invisibilty could have been seen through by Granny. She could have wanted them to follow the furies along! The Nexus was getting restless, they needed a decision and they need it know ::

I agree with both of you, Kara. Do not by any means under estimate Granny, We dont know a thing about her or a thing about the Furies. If the furies are taking orders from Granny then that generally means that shes powerful

:: Sighing mentally he turned his head, he could barely make out the Furies figures anymore, they were rapidly passing down the hallway, if the Guardians didnt act know they might not have a chance to later ::

Tash, Will. We need an answer and we need it know. The furies are nearly gone, Granny or Furies? Or do we split up?
