:: Jules grinned and turned to Kevin, then winked at him::

'You could say I have a somewhat personal interest in Greek Mythology.'

:: She turned to Val and concerntrating on her clothes changed the style into that of Atlantian. She followed the same action with Eos, changing her clothes as well. Realising Kara could channel her power she let Kara change her own clothes and she let Kevin change Kyroes. Tash was powerful enough to change her own clothes. She turned to Tash::

'You may want to wear blue. If one or all of the rulers are protecting this Gem its probably in Poseidon's temple at the center of the island. It's like their formal wear for meetings.'
 
::hearing what they say, she channels jules power and changes her clothes. a new style for a new adventure. looks around to see if everybody is ready::

"well, if it´s true what you say jules, we can try to discover where is the temple but i suppose that it wouldn´t be hard to find it. we´ll have more problems to find the gem. i don´t know how we can discover something in this old city"
 
:: Kevin looked towards Kyroe, his eyes sparking with energy as Kyroes onsomble changed to something like his, that of an Atlantian. He looked towards Kara somewhat rolling his eyes ::

" Kara, This is an old city in our time. That portal transported us into the past, the days that Atlantis was still thriving "

:: He nodded and took Jules's words into comprehension, it wouldent be easy infiltrating a temple. Ecspecially that of the God of the sea, hopefully they wouldent run into him on there journey ::
 
:: Eos accepts Jules' hand and nods with her gratification. She listens to eveyone with their mythology talk, and then watches as Jules and Kevin transform their clothes. Jules then does the same to Eos' own. Then, she frowns.::

" Didn't Poseidon have a couple of *Cyclopes for kids?"

:: She looks around, at their surroundings, as if expecting one to pop out.::

:: Jules glanced at Eos and shook her head slightly::

'No...... but him, Zeus and Hades did release them when they where trying to over throw Cronus......but that was a very long time ago.'
 
In the distance, they can see a large building whose roof seems to cast a glowing light against the other buildings. Judging by the size of the City, it would put the building about at the city's heart.

Kara is the first to realize that they will have to cast some fort of translation spell to understand the natives here. Taking the language telepathically would end up giving all of them migraines as the language was fed into their minds and would end up wasting precious time.
 
"i know that kevin but it´s just that i feel a bit out of place here"

::she looks at the city. it seems to be a great place, full of life but they still don´t know what they can find there::

"guys, i think that it´s time to move. we need to discover where is the temple. anyway, this empathy is giving me headache, what about casting an spell to know what are they saying. in that way, it will be easier to seem that we are one of them"
 
: Kyroe looks over at the others and glances bakc at the city:

" What kind of gem do you think would be here? Why would Poseidon need power from a gem anyway, if he has it."
 
:: Kevin looked towards Kara, nodding in agreement with her. He turned back to Kyroe, he was obviously over-looking something ::

" We cant be sure that he is the one to have it, Hopefully we wont run into him. Even with all of our powers he is a God for goodess sake, And we are in his kingdom "

:: He placed a hand on his head and scracthed, trying to think of somesort of spell to translate the natives lanauge ::
 
:: Jules looked from Kevin to Kyroe and gave a slight nod of her head at Kevin's comment::

'As a guess I'd say its the rulers who have the Gem. Depending on how far we've come back, if this is the begining of Atlantis, then that means the rulers are Poseidon's sons. It's not going to be easy to get the Gem from them.......there direct decendants of a God.'

:: Her eyes widen as she remembers a spell for translations::

'Spirits send the words from all across the land,
Allow me to absorb and understand,
All meaning of this foreign land.'
 
As they walk further into the city, they see that Atlantis is a blending of the ultra modern and what could be called the primitive. They see various venders selling everything from live animals for sacrifice and divination to holographic communicators. Several of the food venders stop them offering samples of their products. Everyone takes some food or another and find ones that they like and dislike as they share among themselves.


OOC:There is nothing wrong with the food, you just haven't eaten in ages. since Blaze, lol.
 
:: Kevin stopped at the varoius food-vendors, taking the food they offered him. He popped a small fruit like dish into his mouth, his eyes almost watering as he tasted the delicious morsel. He pointed towards the bowl of fruits indicating they werre wonderful to his other teamates. Taking a handful of these types of food he plopped some in his mouth, putting some into a small pouch on his waist ::

" Finally some food, We do deserve something after what we've accmomplished so far "

:: He stopped himself as he spoke, he just relized that he could understand the Natives speak, obvoiusly Jules's spell had worked. He gave her a thumbs up and took a large what looked like a loaf of bread, breaking off several bites and distrubiting them out to the rest of the Guardians ::
 
:: Jules looked at the food infront of her and took an apple. She was starving, but she didn't let it show. Looking at Kevin she grinned at him. She threw the apple up in the air, caught it and then took a bite::

'Careful you don't eat what you can't pay for Kevin, I don't think there just going to give us this food out of the kindness of their hearts.'
 
:: Eos eyes the food as they pass by. Realizing she can understand the speech of the Atlantians, she grins, her eyes blazing with gratitude. She quickly hugs Jules, and whispers.::

" Thanks! You've done so much!"

:: Then, she moves to the food cart. A kiwi catches her eye, and she grabs it. Peeling off the brown skin, she bites into the juicey green goodness of the fruit underneath.::
 
::she walks with the other gols through the market. jules´spell has worked really well and now she can understand what the people is saying. she accepts some of the fruits but, just when she is going to bite the piece she has in her hand, she listens what jules says::

"do you think we can trust in them?"

::she is really hungry and she can´t think about anything else apart from food::

(just a bite isn´t going to kill you)
 
:: He waved Jules's away scoffing between bites, he hadnt eaten in what seemed like ages. And he had plently of money to pay for it, even if he didnt really want to. He swallowed and looked towards Kara, rolling his eyes once more ::

" What choice do we have? You know aswell as I that if they had evil intentions we both would be the first to know about it, Do you sense anything? I sure dont "

:: He took another small bite of the apple like fruit. The flavor pouring into his mouth, he chewed and swallowed once more. Thanking the merchants for there food ::
 
Finally having their stomachs filled, the GoL trade small clipping of gold and silver to the merchants for their meals. Together they once again start making their way to the center of the city.

As they reach the Building, the narrowly miss encountering the MoE members who have left in the opposite direction heading towards the Palace.
 
OOC:I am closing this thread as well as the MoE Gold Thread to combine them in IQ-Atlantis Chronicles. I hope everyone has enjoyed their questing so far but now the real challenges are beginning.
