New York City - Past timeline
After saying good - bye to Persephone and explaining what the Six needed to accomplish, Darkchilde teleported them out via stepping disk. Blaze couldn't help but sigh, the transportation was beginning to give her motion sickness or nausea in some cases. Her body disappeared waist up and in the blink of an eye the fiery mutant was gone, with the rest of her comrades. The ride back in time and space was less luxurious due to the power it required. Blaze felt her body spin clockwise as her hair swung wildly. Noises of all sounds popped and echoed through the vortex as psychedelic colors and waves swooped around herself and the team. Blaze barely had time to adjust as they were transported into the past, the past where Morgan was taken from them and Alison was critically injured.
A small cyclone of wind churned and twisted around the ebony skyline of NYC. The thrashing winds animated and far more horrifying, almost like that of a hurricane force. The stepping disk expanded to reveal the Six and their ally, Persephone. Several women dropping out from the sky, it was something out of the Twilight Zone.
Landing more roughly than expected, Foxfire was crouched on one knee with a grunt. She had not been present for this battle, instead her identical twin, Jasmine aka Frost substituted. Standing up, Blaze's eyes went wide with horror. Everything was in utter chaos, cars were flipped upside down, trees and shrubs were flickering with fire, sirens rang in the background. Her keen hearing back to normal capabilities now that they were not in Limbo.
She saw the mass destruction of buildings cave in, dented, and some were even shattered into zillions of pieces. At first, Blaze felt her heart ache even MORE because this was real. It was a stark contrast than viewing it from another realm. She covered her gapping mouth with her gloved hand as her eyes misted with tears.
Such graphic images, sounds, and the overall feeling was enough to make even the most stoic person feel a drop of emotion. Cries of anguish motioned toward the fallen bus, which looked something out of Jurassic Park. Craning her neck to the side, Foxfire could hear the emotional - distraught whimpers coming from the team. She felt a sense of deja déjà vu envelope her while viewing this. It was like watching a television program, except this was reality. She could see her sister, Frost inside the bus, and the rest of the team. It was almost too much to view, Jasmine looked like a warrior, she seemed to fit into the Six. The mutant had forgotten her sister, her twin who had conflicting personalities. Yet, in a strange way it was glorifying to watch her....to know she fought with this team.
She watched Morgan with misty eyes, her sister, her mentor, her best friend in many ways. Before Blaze could cherish the memory of Morgan, Master Mold became active once more. His hulking form dwarfed even sky scrappers. Blaze watched on in horror at how relenting this creature was, which reminded her of the Super Soldier. His large tentacles SLAMMING into the bus, causing Foxfire to jump. Her own heartbeat racing as she felt fear for the past Six.
The past Guardian unleashed the Siege Perilous. Stepping closer, without being scene or interfering, Blaze couldn't believe this. She glanced back to present Guardian, who was beside her. Blinking her eyes, it was like watching a mirrored image of the real Alison Marble. She watched on as the Seer brought forth a mammoth vortex that suctioned up fallen cars, damaged telephone poles, stop signs, shards of building pieces, etc. Blaze felt hope but she knew that sinking feeling was coming closer. She remembered watching this from above the heavens with the Elders. But MM was more cunning than perceived as he lashed out to Guardian, electrocuting her. The impact of the Seer causing a sickening thud to impact on the bus. Blaze cringed and her eyes in shock. Her eyes narrowing in anger at this monster!
Almost like a Queen bee out for vengeance, Spellbinder flies out of the safety of the bus. Her facial expression like that of a bird of prey. Foxfire's heart skips a beat to see her sister in combat so fiercely, so passionately. The concussive force of the eldritch bold makes the whole ground tremble as it connects with MM. Blaze stumbled back, her emerald eyes fixated on her sister. She felt pride....glory...love, all of these things for her sibling to watch her FIGHT for the life of Guardian and her other friends and family. This was a woman of strength and character, this was Spellbinder.
MM falls with a thud, his massive arms clawing and scraping at the ground, large feet of dirt and debris fly through the air. His glowing red eyes beaming for Spellbinder. Several tentacles grabbing onto Spellbinder with raw force and strength, her screams sending shivers down her back. Blaze saw Haleigh's die hard attempt to save Alison. Foxfire moved to stare at her present comrade, Black Widow. Shaking her head, she turned back to see BW move like a machine, like the Terminator. Memories she recalled viewing elsewhere.
Shutting her eyes as tears welled and assaulted her own rosy cheeks, Blaze felt the fire ignite within the pit of her stomach. This moment was there chance to save her sister, to do whatever it took. Opening her eyes she grit her teeth she yearned to jump into the game. To undo this terrible moment. Her eyes darkening to a yellow as her flames etched across her battle attire. Her muscles tensed the longer she watched, she turned to Guardian, for a signal.
Foxfire was ready to move, she seemed to possess a new edge to her. Nodding to present Guardian and Black Widow, to signal she was prepared for this moment. As impatient as she was, she had to WAIT! It killed her inside to hear Morgan's blood curdling screams roar in the background.
"We're coming Morgan!"
