Rights groups slam new US vote restrictions - Americas - Al Jazeera English

this is BAD. I read about this a few days ago & I heard a report on NPR about it this morning.
The U.S. justice department along w/ the Brenan Center for Justice, a non-partisan group from NYU found that the slew of harsh & restrictive voting measures being passed by republican controlled legislatures in over a dozen states will DISPROPORTIONATELY effect the poor, elderly, young & racial/ethnic minorities...all of which tend to vote democratic. over 5 million ppl thus far have been directly effected, seeing their ability (& RIGHT) to vote become far more difficult or VANISH all together.
Moreover, all the citation of "eliminating vote fraud" has been debunked, again by the u.s. justice department's findings as well as the Brenan Center which basically said that there's more likelyhood of a voter being struck by lightning than he/she committing voter fraud. "Voter fraud" is that boogeyman the right likes to use whenever things don't go their way.
Am I the only one who finds there's something VERY wrong w/ this picture?
