The View wants conservative co-host...

I actually think this is a good thing...I mean to be honest, one of my favorite things to watch on The View is when they disagree on something...it's the reason that The View has dropped SHARPLY in the ratings since Joy and Elisabeth left...because it left Sherri and added Jenny McCarthy, neither of which are really smart when it comes to politics. They need somebody who is conservative and somebody who is moderate because Rosie is so liberal...

They need to get it back to how it was before. I'd love to see Meredith return personally, but she's definitely moved onward and upward...I'm REALLY hoping that Ann Curry might jump on board, that would be FABULOUS for her I think...in terms of conservative women...i'm not sure...I just think the show always did really well when they had somebody who was already a journalist like Meredith or Lisa Ling on the panel.
 
Oh, having a conservative co-host definitely makes sense for having broader appeal & a more diverse panel, its just that Hassleback was ridiculous. How about Shannen Doherty? Shes a republican & shes been a guest co-host before.


I would love to see Star Jones come back. I think Meredith has outgrown the View now that shes an anchor on prime time news. I dont see her fitting in like she once did.

Whoopi's liberal but more to the center than Rosie. I think those two might end up clashing a bit b/c Rosie tends to be LOUD & Whoopi will only go along w/ that for so long before she snaps someone back. Just look how she used to do Hassleback? Lol!

Ann Curry WOULD be an awesome choice, but is she going to bring enough of an opposing view to bring balance to the panel? I dont know enough abt her politics to say if shes conservative or not.
