Number 8 & 9....reminds me of when I opened my front door on New Year's day of 1999 after it had snowed on NYE. I looked back to my guests & said "well, I hope no one was planning to go to work today!" LOL one good thing about being snowed in is that you get a day or two off work & that's ALWAYS nice 
of course most ppl are never where they'd rather be in situations like that. some ppl get stuck @ work or on the road & THAT is awful.

I can remember we had an awful snowstorm a couple of years ago, where people were trapped on the highway near my city for roughly 18 hours [maybe even more]! They had to share some vehicles in order to conserve energy overnight.
