Sorry about posting last night, I was going to once I came home from work. But after working a 12 hour shift without a break between, I was so exhausted. I didn't have the energy to climb the stairs to the office. :( I'll post now and then when I return to work tonight.
 
Okay Guys I have a MOVE Update :) Okay so my new landlord told us that we can move in this weekend with no problem so here is what we are gonna do:

The day I pack up my computer I will post that we are on hiatus which should only last for about a few days once everything gets all set up and all that jazz. Then I will post that I have returned and we can continue on with the storyline :D

We don't have time to finish the storyline so we will just put it on break :) So post alot so we can get a LOT done before I move lol!

On Another Note I would like to ask that everyone remember to play their characters accordingly. We are mutants and not beings of magick. The only characters that weild magick are Erika, Kelly, Alison and Morgan.. Make sure you use your powers accordingly and keep on task. :D

Also, Heather I am deathly confused right here.. Is Blaze part Lycan and Vampire? Because Farrah told me that you were embraced by a Vampire back in Valiant but that MorningStar and Spellbinder killed your embracer and wouldn't that thus negate your lycan and vampiric tendencies?
 
Thanks for the compiment on the AV ladies. I was looking for an image that was slightly "younger looking" but i couldnt find one of her looking "darker or more evil"...so i went with this one. If you read "the light that failed" thread, youll see why she has become "younger" looking. ;)

I must correct you on one thing, Prophet: MorningStar, Black Widow and Shockwave or NOT mutants. MorningStar and Shockwave are meta humans and Black Widow is now a techno organic hybrid.

So, we have on the CORE team: Two mystics, two mutants, two meta humans and one techno organic hybrid. (yes i KNOW that technically means "The Seven" but Guardian is STILL TECHNICALLY a "guest star" LOL)

I just needed to be clear on that because the character types will factor in to future storylines.

But to ADD to Prophet's request, I too had been informed of some glaring and unusual "changes" in some characters in this storyline. Changes that seemed to be out of place and not really suited to the situation. Everyone has submitted a bio which includes the character's nature, powers, abilities and such. Unless you left a clause in there for FURTHER development in the future...OR you have contacted ME via PM about changes you have in mind for your character[so that i can work that into whatever story we are playing] then we need to stick to the mold that we created for EACH of our characters.

Obviously creativity and insight is a good thing, and bringing out things that are logically and naturally associated with your character due to his/her nature shows that you truly grasp your character's concept BUT let's not go over the top and start adding things in that do not truly make sense with the present nature of the character. Marvel Comics has even done that in times past with several of their most popular characters and it was NEVER well received by the readers (i.e. Psylocke and her constant, switching/rearranging physical appearence and powers).

Also! You guys! Erika teleported you all up to the attic and yet you all teleported yourselves up there lol.. I was trying to express a growth in Erika's Powers and you RUINED IT ALL YOU FOOLS! Just kidding but try and pay more attention.
 
Farrah dear, I got your PM. ;) And I'll comment here since Brandon is addressing Foxfire more. Blaze is a mysterious character, one that NOT everyone can uncover including Spellbinder. I did not include her vampire/lycan history because I wanted this aspect to be more of a mystery. The WHY of this mutation is really tied to her second mutation, though I failed to mention it in my bio, I should have done so.


When I originally created Blaze, I wanted to have TWO mutations, a fire mutant and a transformer of somesort, kind of like Morph except she cannot change into people, she possesses certain animal qualities to both wolves and bats, thus vampire and lycan. The reason she is able to mix both is her blood...she has an infinity to these changes, which can enhance her senses plus her moods, etc.

Yes, Spell did execute her "embracer", however, I have yet to discuss her past in further detail. When I sent my bio into to Farrah, she had to change some of it because I didn't think I would be joining after some pressing issues in my life. Thus, leaving Blaze's history in a way inconcluded, whether "alive" or "dead." Which I can understand why.

Personally, I like Blaze's character and I believe I play her well (I'm not saying anyone ever said I don't or whatever.) But I do want to incorporate her vampire and lycan characterists, just like the character "Michael" in the movie, "Underworld." I have yet to discuss why Blaze has become this or why. This is a matter, I planned on discussing but not in this episode right now. Does that make sense?

I always leave room for my characters to develop, and this is one of those times.

And I apologize Brandon, I was rushing to post before I left for work, sorry hon. :p :shrug:
 
heather, like i mentioned in the PM, i have no problem with blaze having enhanced senses, reflexes etc....and the idea that they would be augmented by the phases of the moon...that DOES add to her mystique. The only thing i must insist that you nix is the lupine/werewolf aspect. she mastered her control over the element of fire from valiant till now and she's now a mutant elemental. Mutants DO experience "secondary mutations" (i.e. the white queen's diamond form in addition to her telepathic powers) but lets not rush too far too fast with that. if events happen in a storyline that warrant changes then we can update a bio and go from there. im all for that ....but lets take our time. Blaze has alot of power now..more than she did when she was with Valiant.


a couple of things folks:

Phoebe is having technical problems as well as "issues" involving parent restriction. She didnt anticipate this and i've spoken to her, i KNOW that she very much wants to stay....She's a good rp'er and it is my hope that MorningStar will provide the Six with a ray of light as soon as she can. in the mean time....I will "carry" her along in the story, other characters need not mention her.

Brandon, to allow you time to catch up and move things along, Guardian has suggested that EVERYONE get some sleep for the time being. This will allow you time to move things to the next step.

Keep in mind all the changes that have occurred with any characters thus far. You havent told me what plans you have so i cant help you move things along in that regard and therefore it falls on you.


and finally:
everyone is doing very well for the most part. we all need to be carefull when posting, as sometimes we post on top of each other and miss key details from a previous post so remember to refresh often. stay attentive to the story and make sure you flow with it. dont try to bust OUT of it. and if there is anything wrong....if you have any concerns or issues, Please bring them to me via PM....or post them here if you feel comfortable doing so.

Lmao Heather. What part of FL are you going to? If you're anywhere near Jacksonville, haha, maybe you will! (except for the skanky whore part....roflmao).

Anyhow. I also recieved your PM Farrah, I appologize for making my character transport across the country via electricity. I thought it was realistic seeing as how there's always electricity in the air, whether it's storms or powerlines. So I will refrain from using it to that extent, and stick to, as you said, more closed spaces like a house and what not.

And to add onto this little break ordeal that ya'll are talkin about. I will be leaving June 7th - June 26th. HOWEVER, don't shit your pants, lmao. I will have completely internet access from the 7th - 15th. ;)
 
hey guys, sorry ive been kind of mia lately. things have really picked up around here and ive started working again so i can pay for the repairs my car needs, lol, and hopefully ill make enough to get a few 'upgrades' on it :D... i have to go to work now but I'll post this evening.

it appears to me that this game may not continue much longer, with everyone either being MIA or addressing personal circumstances. i certainly cant hold that against each of you, the players, but at the same time, there really isnt much point to taking up space on the board with a game that is going to stall for most of the summer now is there? i blame myself for not being as 'on point' as i shouldve been, but there again goes the whole issue of "personal circumstances".

"The Citadle" storyline was long ...but we NEVER had this many "stops".
Every rpg, (even good ones like this featuring good players) has its slow points, its snags and such. With it being summer and all, with moves, graduation, traveling etc, i realize that now more than ever we may be in OUR slow point. But honestly, I'm not feeling very confident about the continuation of this game.

I can do one of several things: i can scrap it, replace players, simply get rid of players and change the premise of the game, OR i can sit back and hope that things will resume course.

Now is the time for each of you to give your input. The sooner the better.
 
I understand where you're coming from Farrah, but I really don't want this game to end. Honestly, I haven't been in a good board RPG (let along regular RPG) in a very long time. Pretty much since Generations of War. This is the first time in a very long time where I actually LIKE my character, in every aspect. I've made her my own, I've enjoyed RPing her, I've enjoyed the cattyness, interaction, and connection between all our characters. And I really hope that you don't decide to drop the game because we hit a snag.

But like I said, I do understand that it can be frustrating creating a game that has been as slow as it has been the past couple of weeks. But with the amount of work we all put forth, and most importantly the amount of FUN we have all had together in the game and in chats, I don't think it's worth completely shutting it down and giving up. I of course started this trend, if you would like to call it that, buy having to move and be gone for two weeks. And I again apologize for that. But like you said, with school ending, summer starting, and vacations brewing, the game is going to slow for a bit, but it will pick up. I can garentee you that. If everyone enjoys this game as much as I do (and from the looks of it they do!), they're not going to want it to end.

So I hope that you take the fact that we all love this game into consideration before you make a decision to shut it down and such.
 
Personally Farrah, I think you would be foolish to drop such a diamond that you have created. I LOVE this rpg very much and the other player's involved. I look forward coming online to post (a little too much based on Jess' observation). :p :shrug:

I don't think "replacing" players is a good idea unless that player(s) need or want to be dropped from the game. Speaking for myself, I don't wanna leave or see this rpg get the ax. Yeah, we do have a slow interlude, but hon you have worked so incredible hard for this and I refuse to allow my best friend to put this to rest, not without a fight from Floozy. :D :vamp:

Summer is full of activity, I myself am going to be traveling for a bit without Internet access but I KNOW this game will do well. We had major success already.

However....once I do move to FL (which I'm unsure now, I'm hoping by this fall) I think I will actually retire from role playing and message boards. But I'm NOT sure, so this is not set in stone. But I might have to say good - bye once I do leave. That's just a might, I won't know until later on as the months pass to see how much money I have, who knows maybe I'll buy a "notebook" with internet access.

Until then, you've got me. :angel: :femm2:
 
Okay everyone lol.. Color me embarassed but I am all done moving actually... I guess I am just used to moving across country and having it take so many days lol.. so we can still continue on with this RPG full speed :) I am gonna talk to Farrah about how I want to end it so that everyone is in the loop but we will finish this by the end of the week or sooner..

The only problem with the RPG is that is RAN and solely in the hands of us Six. It is different in a battle rpg where there are MANY members that can take up the slack for those involved. This is a GREAT RP and there are so many great players.. truly the creme of the crop here and I don't want to see this ended.. I mean look at us all together the amount of energy and the good time we have while doing this.. everytime one of these ends we all lose touch and I don't want that to happen.

It IS the Summer and all that and we will all have our moments when we need to take some time off but this will definitely pull through with all of us together...

Also remember that you Farrah are an expert at running and coordinating these things and I have realized that after doing this that is SOO much harder than I ever thought.. I know the others will experience that too when their storylines come along and we have to work around that as well.. we may be good RPers but good story leaders is another story altogether.. So just give it time.. We will make this something to remember!
 
All I have to say is.....I can't believe you killed Alexis' dog!!! lol. I was in shock when I read that!
