Driving while black? App developers aim to help
---------------------------
The name of the app is "Five-0" & It's developed by a small group of lawyers & I think this is a good idea. Among it's features: it outlines what civil rights you have during a stop, allows drivers to send an alert to friends and family that they have been pulled over. There's also a recording function to document the interaction with an officer. It will also include a directory of lawyers for drivers who believe they were wrongfully stopped or searched
There's also the "Mobile Justice" app which was developed by American Civil Liberties Union affiliates in 4 different states. It allows users to take video of police encounters and upload the video to the ACLU.
These apps are for ANYONE who wants/needs them & they are intended to help educate ppl on how to handle being pulled over by police so that they are safe & everyone goes home alive.
