A Weekend Affair # 5 - The White Brunch

Hellfire - The Black Wing

Brienne called him out on why he sought her last night. Erika had sent him, no sense in lying about it. So he came clean, which only annoyed her further. He had thought she might understand. He had thought she’d so recently become Queen that she might still remember what it had been like to be bound to follow orders. He had been wrong.

He tried to commiserate, to let her know that he wasn’t too happy about it either, but she didn’t much care. He pushed on, implying that while he may have been directed to pursue her, it wasn’t the reason he’d stayed all night. She wasn’t impressed, and instead just flat out asked him if he was afraid of being disemboweled. But her body was responding, despite how hard she tried to pretend otherwise, so he continued on, expressing his desire to punish Erika a bit for her callousness, knowing that on some level she felt the same way about Alek.

Brienne: Maybe you talk too much.

She said, grabbing a hold of his hair. She was too turned on to think straight, he told himself. It was his own damned fault, he’d teased her up. He asked her to consider his proposition, before his mouth fell upon her, and for a few precious seconds he thought he might have turned the tide. But it wasn’t like last night, when they blocked out their problems and just enjoyed each other. She had called attention to it and now it felt like duty, even when she linked them.

Still, he could push on, until it felt good again, until the baggage dropped away and all that was left was her. But then she told him if he made her come she might consider it, and that was what broke him. Ruthless. She was as ruthless as the rest. And he had known it, but stupidly tried anyway, because he wanted to prove himself wrong. Yet he was not wrong.

None of these women cared one bit for him, beyond what he could do in the bedroom. Half of them didn’t even treat him like a person. It was so demoralizing it made him angry. Now he understood why his father had such a low opinion of the fairer sex. He pushed himself up from her abruptly.

“That must be all I’m good for, right? I’m really fucking annoying and I talk too much, but as long as I make you come, you’ll humor me. Well fuck you, Black Queen. Make yourself come. I’d rather be disemboweled than be reduced to little more than a sex slave.”

He spat angrily, pulling his pants back on.

La Hacienda Estrada

She laughed at the idiocy of Cameron King standing in the bar at her father's hacienda, asking her if she was happy. Like if she said she was, that it would make everything he had done okay. Absolve him of his sins. Well, she was no priest.

Cameron: "She hasn't tossed me aside. Not yet anyway."

"Pity. It's your turn."

She held out her glass for another.

Cameron: "And I'm not asking you to shed a tear for me. I don't deserve it, that's for sure."

"You damn right don't deserve it."

Cameron: "Are you telling me that you have nothing to say to me? After seven years? Nothing that comes in and out of your thoughts? No final damning words, no digs? No pain you never got to express? Nothing?"

And then in her head:

Cameron: "No passion?"

She lifted her hands to her sides, her fingers splayed on either side of her head. Every knife in the bar, twenty or so, came from its place at her beckoning. All aimed towards Cameron, hovering, spinning in place.

Is this what you want? A scene? For me to cry, scream, attack?

She banged her fists down on top of the bar, and the knives simultaneously moved forward until they were less than an inch from various points on Cameron's body, hovering still.

I did all those things, seven years ago, Cameron. You don't have that power over me, not any more.

And at once, the knives fell clattering to the floor.

Cameron: "I couldn't have found you if you didn't want me to...on some level. So here I am. I found you. So let's deal with it."

She shook her head sadly.

"I didn't ask you to come."

Flashes came through, of Haleigh, of their marriage. Of his life, without her.

"You're seven years too late."

Cameron: "Let it out. We'll see if I can take it."

"I'm not here to make you feel better, Cameron. You may play some sick game with your wife and this thing you call a marriage."

The images she'd picked from his brain, the things they did, it disgusted her.

"But don't you dare come here and expect catharsis. You left me to deal with my pain all on my own."

Her hands were clutching the bar, nails digging into the wood.

"Without even a reason. Without the slightest bit of courtesy to tell me why on the night we were announcing our engagement to the world you decided to dump me for the girl next door. No, you were happy with your little blonde toy and didn't care anything about anyone but yourself and what YOU WANTED. You SELFISH CHILD. And now you find out maybe she wasn't everything you thought she was? She's not giving you enough attention, so you thought you'd come find me and make sure I hadn't forgotten you? That I was still hurting, so you can feel like you matter?"

Her voice had gotten steadily louder, her eyes angrier.

"Well, congratulations Cameron King-"

The glass globes in the hanging lanterns ringing the bar all shattered at once. She stared at him, her breath coming more rapid than usual. When she spoke again, her voice was calm.

"I never forgot."

Zach was doing everything right with his tongue, making her forget why she wanted to kick him out to begin with. That was until he stopped, making Brienne lift her head and look down at him.

Zach: “That must be all I’m good for, right? I’m really fucking annoying and I talk too much, but as long as I make you come, you’ll humor me."

Well this was a turn of events. Brienne pushed herself up onto her elbows looking at Zach incredulously.

"THAT'S what pissed you off out of everything I've said to you?"

Asking him to make her come for her to consider having him escort her to brunch? It was almost laughable considering the amount of other shit she had given him since day one. Zach got out of bed, grabbing his pants from the floor. He was pissed.

Zach: "Well fuck you, Black Queen."

"Excuse me?"

NOW Brienne was pissed, sitting up fully as she watched him put his pants on.

Zach: "Make yourself come. I’d rather be disemboweled than be reduced to little more than a sex slave.”

"Are you fucking kidding me? YOU are the one who was ordered to come here and fuck me! How the hell do you think that makes ME feel!? Like a common FUCKING whore! First Alek and now you?! I'm not given one OUNCE of respect in this fucking place outside of the god damn bedroom! And when you BASTARDS get YOUR fill, you throw me off the board like a fucking pawn!"

It wasn't just Zach's outburst that finally pushed Brienne to the edge, but the whole damn weekend. She was looked at as nothing more than someone to fuck with no consideration as to WHY she was the European Black Queen. She may have been a bitch, but she could only be pushed so far without it finally getting to her. Brienne swung her legs off the edge of the bed heatedly, bending down and picking up her panties and putting them on.

"You fulfilled your duty, ROOK. Now GET OUT!"

She screamed, tears threatening to fall from her eyes as she grabbed her suitcase from the floor and threw it onto the bed. She should have left last night like planned, instead she was brought into the Black Widow's fucking web AGAIN.

Hellfire - The Black Wing

He’d gone from turned on to pissed off, as if a switch had been flipped. She was surprised that after all the abuse she’d dished out, her last comment had been what angered him. Really it had been the last straw. So he finally did something for himself. He told her off, as he was putting his pants back on. It was very cathartic.

Then he felt her fury blossom, and it was quite intoxicating. She raged at him, unloading her resentment. He turned to her, still shirtless, giving up on even looking for his other clothes, because there would be a fight, and it would be sincere and raw and he wanted to feel it all. He wanted his eyes to be as cold as hers had been before, heartless and brutal, but he knew they weren’t. He knew his eyes were filled with hot rage, the same fury that infused them both. He let her scream at him, about how he was the bastard, as if she hadn’t treated him just like she felt she was being treated by the others.

“Oh, poor baby! You know what, you might have a few fucking friends if you didn’t treat people like absolute shit all the time, unless you were tolerating them while they were pleasing you! You’re not the only one who has FEELINGS!”

He shot back hotly as she was trying to get dressed and go back to the long forgotten task of packing. He grit his teeth as she dismissed him. He grabbed the handle of her suitcase and flung it against the wall so hard it broke through the plaster. All her underwear went cascading in an arc from the suitcase, landing on anything and everything, the floor, the bed, the headboard, the lampshade.

“You keep calling me rook like that’s all I am. I have a name, Brienne. You probably don’t care, but it’s Zach. You want men to stop leaving you after you’ve had your way with them? Try at least pretending they’re worth the minimal effort it takes to learn their name.”

He suggested, a bit spitefully. He could see the tears brimming in her eyes, he could feel the anger and the hurt. It threatened to lure him back in. He had an instinct, deep down, that made him want to comfort her. But he was still so irate. She wasn’t the only one who felt used.

“I wanted you before I was ordered to seduce you. And then Erika showed up at the bar, and Hellfire claimed it. But even still, it didn’t feel like a chore, not until you MADE it that way. I thought we had something, Brienne. It felt strong enough to overcome the games of Hellfire. But you’re so determined to feel nothing.... is that how you’re going to go through life, from one meaningless fling to another?”

The Black King & Queen's Suite

Ava cuddled against him, and proclaimed him a very comfortable seat, making him laugh. She suggested they might have to rethink his code name, and he playfully asked her what name she would give him.

Ava: "Captain Comfortable, definitely Captain Comfortable."

He pretended to be offended, turning his head to look at her in disbelief.

"Captain Comfortable? That sounds like a super hero from the Land of Misfit Toys!"

He pulled her closer.

"Am I really that boring?"

He knew the opinion the others had of him. Like a big stone statue that followed Ava around.

But she pressed her lips against his, and he had that flash, the one he kept having throughout the weekend: the one that said he couldn't believe he was in Ava's room, and that she was kissing him. It was like a dream suddenly come alive, and just as when he had only dreamt it, his body responded.

Ava: "No...there's a reason why you're called Steel."

Oops seemed like the wrong response, but it's not as if he could help it. He pulled her against him, needing to feel her body next to his.

Ava: "And why you're mine."

"I'll never want anyone else."

His hand slipped into the v on her top and down the waist of her bottoms.

"But I am going to burn every damn pair of slacks you own."

His voice was low and gravelly. She might have said she wasn't angry with him, but her wardrobe choices said differently. His mouth attacked hers while he fumbled with his belt. He moved her onto her back so she was laying down, pushing his trouser down and coming down on his elbows on top of her.

"God, Ava, I need you."

He continued to kiss her furiously while he worked on getting the slacks off of her. Once she was free he wasted no time, and with one smoothe movement he was inside her, expelling a sigh of relief as he did so. He pushed the stiff fabric away from her breasts, stroking and kissing them while he thrust needily between her legs. If they only had fifteen minutes, he was going to make it a good one.

Hellfire -- The Red Queen’s Suite

AJ asked his Queen if she was excited by the prospect of a child running around Hellfire. She wasn’t really, though she did think Haleigh should get to experience it now that it was possible for her to do so. But she admitted it stirred up some longing on her part, as she moved his hand down to her stomach.

Ash: To feel your child grow inside of me. For the closeness it would bring us. The intimacy. That is what I wish for more than the child itself.

He pulled her into his chest gently, and picked up his head to kiss her cheek.

“My Ashley, we can still be close, intimate, even without that....”

Ash: But if I were to have a child, I would take it as far from here as I could. No child should suffer because of who their parents are.

“I agree... but Haleigh will not leave Hellfire, it is all she knows, and too much a part of her to be forsaken. But, you and I can help her ensure the child does not suffer.”

He suggested, and soon they were onto more pleasant topics, and she was pressing against him, her body calling his. Then they were rudely interrupted by gunfire and Guardsmen. AJ stuck close to his Queen when she answered the door, looking out into the hall warily. The Black Knight wanted to see them both, though AJ couldn’t imagine why, and said so as he was getting dressed. His Queen stopped him with her hands on his chest, gliding up to his shoulders.

Ash: I think you should stay here.

“I think we should stay together until we know what’s going on, since an apparent attack just occurred in the hallway.”

He replied, looking down into her eyes as he brushed her wild hair back from her face.

Ash: I don't trust that snake anywhere near you.

“Don’t you trust me, though?”

He asked, a bit sadly. She relented, though she insisted he wear a shirt, for the first time ever. He felt guilty again, for his fling with Amanda. It had been fun at the time, a way to distract himself from what his Queen had been doing. And he had wanted to get even with her, but now he looked back on it as folly.

He was lucky that she had forgiven him for it, really. He knew that, and he would never make the same mistake again. He escorted his Queen to the Red Lounge, where the Black Knight awaited. His Queen told the Knight she’d better have a good reason for getting them out of bed, and AJ secretly hoped that the reason was not a threesome, because Ashley might kill Amanda for proposing that at this point.

Amanda had a much better reason though, it was an update on club matters. Cameron was ‘gone’, Alek was ‘protecting’ Haleigh, Ava and John had gone back to Arklay, and despite the increased security in the Red Wing, AJ had not been included in the protocol. Everything was a bit inexplicable except the last part. AJ wasn’t surprised that Alek would make security arrangements with informing his own Knight. Savage wasn’t bothered by that. He’d been with the Queen, and he was perfectly capable of protecting her. Still, it would’ve been nice to know if there was some kind of threat. But whatever, because now he knew. There were more important things to be concerned about. He looked at his Queen.

“The White King abandons all responsibility and leaves his pregnant wife unprotected? No wonder she seeks out the Red King so often. But what would make Cameron run?”

Brienne had no reason to stay any further in a place that treated her like some casual slut they could fuck to further their agenda. She was the fucking European Black Queen. She could burn the American Branch to the ground and stand amongst the flames watching their little world crumble to ash. Everyone cast such harsh judgement on Brienne because she was aloof and a bitch since arrival. She was no sweet as pie fairy like Bretta, or alluringly intriguing vampire like Juliette. She was a cunt, and THAT was why she was Black Queen. She could get the job done and do what the other two wouldn't do when necessary. But since she walked into the American Branch, she had been given zero respect from ANYONE. Brienne threw her suitcase onto the bed after putting her panties on, fully intending to finish packing and get the fuck out of New York.

Zach: “Oh, poor baby! You know what, you might have a few fucking friends if you didn’t treat people like absolute shit all the time, unless you were tolerating them while they were pleasing you! You’re not the only one who has FEELINGS!”

Brienne shot Zach a deadly glare.

"I don't give a SHIT about feelings, Zach! Feelings get you hurt. They get you KILLED. I came into this weekend fully expecting everyone to be creaming themselves over Juliette and Bretta, wanting alliances with them because they are the "nice" ones, not the one that gets the fucking JOBS DONE. I had the deck stacked against me since day one of this fucking weekend so I said FUCK IT, i'm not giving any of you holier than thou assholes a chance to screw me over. [scoffing out] FRIENDS?! You think I want FRIENDS?! I don't NEED FRIENDS when I have POWER."

She dismissed him, telling him to get the fuck out of her room because she was done with the Americans and their stupid little weekend of bullshit. But that seemed to set Zach off even further as he grabbed the handle of her suitcase and flung it from her bed and through the wall with a loud CRASH, her panties flying every which way as Brienne stood with her mouth agape and her eyes wide with rage.

"You bloody bastard...."

Brienne's amethyst ring began to glow a she splayed her fingers out, the dark purple energy pulsating from her ring and haloing around her hand.

Zach: “You keep calling me rook like that’s all I am."

"You ARE a Rook, Rook."

Brienne hissed out just to hurt him further.

Zach: "I have a name, Brienne. You probably don’t care, but it’s Zach. You want men to stop leaving you after you’ve had your way with them? Try at least pretending they’re worth the minimal effort it takes to learn their name.”

"I learned your FUCKING NAME, Zachary Armani. Long before you dismissed me at the Red Hunt and left with your newly appointed BITCH princess."

Brienne had done her research before arriving in America. She knew who every single Inner Circle member was, what their powers were, and what their ranks were. She didn't come into this weekend blind despite not wanting to come at all. She was no fool. She may have put off the aura of not wanting to be there, but she was there and she would know exactly whom she was dealing with.

"But why the hell should I put in any more effort when the most respect I get is an order for someone like YOU to fuck me to keep my happy. Or someone like Alek to fuck me to keep me occupied. I'm more than just a FUCK you ASSHOLE. I'm a powerful WITCH from a very long and old bloodline. I'm the FUCKING BLACK QUEEN."

Brienne closed her splayed fingers into a fist as everything that happened with her suitcase literally reversed in motion, all the panties flying back into the case, the case flying from the wall and back onto the bed, the wall undamaged, and the suitcase now closed. Tears filled Brienne's eyes despite her anger. She was frustrated and she was hurt. She had a very strong personality, and she put up a front about not caring. But she did care. If she didn't, she would have abdicated the throne like her mother did. But Brienne wanted to be Queen. And she was good at it despite what the American's thought.

Zach: “I wanted you before I was ordered to seduce you.

Grabbing her suitcase by the handle, she pulled it off her bed.

"Meaningless keeps me from losing everything."

She walked to the door and put her suitcase down by it. Brienne understood with power came those who wanted to take it. She was that person once as well. Any man who wanted to fuck her had either two reasonings behind it: pleasure or power. They wanted to get their rocks off or they wanted to further their foothold in society. So Brienne took away the second option and brought the power back into HER hands. She refused to let any man use her so she used them first. She learned long ago that love and feelings caused a ripple effect of problems; case and point, Cameron, Haleigh, and Alek. As it stood after this weekend? The Europeans were coming out looking like a fucking powerhouse in comparison.

Brienne turned back to Zach, her eyes no long glassy with tears, her anger sated for the moment.

"You may have wanted me before you were ordered to fuck me, but you surely don't now. It seems we both got what we wanted in the end, Zach."

Brienne purposely using his name as she folded her arms across her chest.

The Red Queen's Suite

AJ asked her about Haleigh's child, if she was looking forward to it. She didn't feel the need, as many women did, to lie. It was not the highlight of her life to see a child running around the halls of Hellfire - in fact, she thought it somewhat ridiculous, to raise a child here, under these circumstances. But as he held her there in front of the cold fire, she opened herself up further. Something she wouldn't have said to any other man, because it wouldn't have been true. That despite twelve hundred years to get used to the idea that there would never be a child of her own, Haleigh's pregnancy had brought out unexpected feelings in her. For the first time she felt she was missing out on something, the connection between two people who have made a child.

He pulled her against her, and her eyes closed, the unfamiliar pain in her chest.

Savage: “My Ashley, we can still be close, intimate, even without that....”

He kissed her cheek and she whispered her reply.

"I know. But-"

She buried her face against his chest, glad he could not see the single tear that fell from her eye.

"I know that you would love me more if your child was inside of me."

And perhaps that had been what was missing for Alek, why they were destined to break apart. She changed the subject away from her, to say aloud that she would not have raised a child here.

Savage: "I agree... but Haleigh will not leave Hellfire, it is all she knows, and too much a part of her to be forsaken. But, you and I can help her ensure the child does not suffer.”

"We must. We have both seen enough of that."

Today, children could be carefree, loved, cherished. They need not work, or fight, or starve. And it would be like that for Haleigh's son, if they could help it. She could not think of these things any longer, so she made mention of the night's event, taunting him, needing to feel his desire for her and his body claiming her for his. And then there was a motherfucking knock at the door, and the motherfucking Black Knight wanted to see them.

Well, she'll just have to be disappointed.

She wasn't about to let her stand there smug and ogling Savage right in front of her.

Savage: “I think we should stay together until we know what’s going on, since an apparent attack just occurred in the hallway.”

He may have been right, but that didn't mean she wanted to let him come with her. He brushed her hair back from her face, which sent bolts of electricity through her body. She really didn't want to leave the room. She told him she didn't trust Amanda.

Savage: “Don’t you trust me, though?”

"Of course I do. I just said it's Amanda I don't trust. She's lucky I didn't make a pair of boots out of her."

Ashley was getting visibly annoyed now, her jealousy seeping out of her.

"She knew exactly what she was doing."

Ashley linked her arm possessively around AJ's, and walked to the Red Lounge, telling the waiting Black Knight that her reason had better be good. She bowed to Ashley, which was a good start, but she didn't like the way she gestured greeting to her Knight.

Amanda: "The White King has gone missing. Ran away really. After you left the gala, Cameron left to The White Corridor before vanishing from both traditional and technological forms of tracking..vanishing even from magick. Since about 1:30 in the morning, The Red King has taken The White Queen into protection, ordering a very...thorough security detail, allowing no visitors."

"Concerns over Kelly King?"

Ashley had seen Kelly leave the party, and assumed when Cameron followed it was to go with her. It was so like Alek to play the protector, as if Haleigh needed protection from Kelly. Well, at least protection Alek could provide.

Amanda: "My King and Queen have taken to Arklay for a respite..in order to be better rested for The Red Party later this evening, and in doing so, have left me to attend to matters. I came to you, because I became aware that your Knight seemed to have not been looped into the protocol, which I found...interesting."

"I'm sure my King felt he had matters well in hand."

In hand indeed.

Alek should have informed both she and AJ (and Jack) that he was about to make the Red Wing into a police state, but that wasn't the Black Court's business.

Amanda: "And I realized that if The Red Knight was unaware, it was likely because he was spending time with...you."

Ashley's eyes narrowed.

"He usually is at my side, as is my Knight's place."

Amanda: "Which means you might not have been informed as well."

She waved a hand in the air.

"And why was that a concern to you?"

Amanda: "Look, I don't know how to cleverly word this for Hellfire, but The White King is gone, your own King is protecting The White Queen, in his suite, right next door and is turning The Red Corridor into a cell block. I just thought it was important for you to know...As would the others on my court think."

"Are your King and Queen aware? On their...respite?"

Ava was clearly licking her wounds, pissed off and embarrassed about the events of the night before in equal measure. As if any of the rest of them cared what Stavros Cassadine did with his cock. And Steel...he was surely telling her exactly what she wanted to hear, blowing sunshine up her ass while they canoodled in amorous bliss. She mentally sighed. Why were Cameron and Haleigh (and, apparently, Alek) so concerned about what Kelly might do all of a sudden? Haleigh was preganant, yes, but hadn't Kelly been the instrument of that miracle? Though Ashley wouldn't put it past her to give such a gift then take it away, it was pretty rapid an aboutface, even for Kelly.

Savage: “The White King abandons all responsibility and leaves his pregnant wife unprotected? No wonder she seeks out the Red King so often. But what would make Cameron run?”

Ashley pursed her lips, bringing her hands to her face and steepling them in front of her, thinking.

"Surely if there was a complication with the pregnancy we would know about it...and it is so early in any case. It couldn't be grief that drove him. And Haleigh wouldn't need protection in that instance, only consolation. And if Kelly was threatening Haleigh, Cameron would stay to protect her. Unless-"

She looked up at the other two.

"He's gone to find her and eliminate her. We can only hope."

She smirked dryly.

"But he would never leave her in Alek's protection. He would have come to me, or Ava...Heidi even. What would make him run..."

She echoed Savage's question. And then her eyes went wide, and she looked at AJ in shock.

"Surely Haleigh's not left Cameron?"

Ashley found a seat and sat in it.

"Well I'll be damned."

Hellfire -- The Red King’s Suite

Haleigh had kept her cool with Erika, though her mind had been racing with the implications and possibilities.

Alek: If she did use magick on you, then it absolutely cannot be allowed to stand. But Brienne is secondary at the moment. Unless you'd be interested in a little...

Haleigh rolled her eyes.

"Don't get me wrong, because I'm definitely interested in a little third party action. But with her.... I'm more interested in murder than making out."

Whatever Brienne had done to her could not have been assumed to be good. Haleigh scoured her memory files for any kind of hints, but there was nothing. Everything seemed real, a mostly ordinary day for her. With the singular exception of becoming pregnant. The worst possible curse presented itself into Haleigh's psyche. Her heart sank and she thought she might need to sit down but her legs felt locked in place. Her voice sounded quieter than usual, barely above a whisper, but then she wasn't entirely sure she could say it aloud.

"What if she cast a spell on me to make me think I was pregnant, but really I'm not?"

It would create just the kind of chaos Alek mentioned Brienne being fond of. Haleigh felt enraged, and grief-stricken. She was angry because if it were true, all this fallout would have been over nothing. Although she at least knew now where people really stood, who could be counted on and who would turn on her. And at the same time she was absolutely bereaved, because it felt like she was losing the babies. And lurking somewhere in her mind was the question of whether she was better off not trying to get pregnant, given how badly her husband had reacted to the circumstances that might not have existed at all.

No, it can't be that. Even Brienne Shaw is not so cruel. I've done nothing to her, she has no reason....

"If I became aware of the illusion, would it break the hex? Because my scans are still coming back positive. But what if that's part of the spell?"

She could feel her anger rising to levels that usually resulted in homicide. If she really was pregnant like she thought, and Brienne's spell was something else, she needed to keep herself calm, for the babies sakes.

"God damn it, I fucking hate magick. It could be anything... any fucked up thing she wanted to do. If I'd have known she was going to make a move against me I'd have killed her before she could."

She wanted to hit something. Her hands balled up into fists all on their own.

"And Cameron.... How could he be so twisted up in his own fucking jealousy that he could totally ignore such a monumental issue and keep it from me?? How could he just fucking leave?! It's like I don't even know him anymore."

She said angrily. She should have been more alarmed by the way he was acting yesterday. He had shown his true colors, and she had just thought she could reason him through it. What a colossal mistake she'd made. Well, it wasn't too late. When he came back she'd be ready for him this time, gloves off. If he wanted a fight he was going to get it.

Alek: We need to find Cameron. We can't sit here and wait for him to surprise us. My people can look for him, but he could be anywhere. Is there some place he would go, some place maybe the two of you talked about, if you had to disappear...?

Haleigh shook her head.

"No... we never talked about things like that. With him it's always about gaining power and becoming legends. The only places I can think to look are all his various property holdings. Mostly he bought them for investments, but any of them would be a good place to go if he wanted to keep something secret. I've never paid them any attention, but I know where to find the records. You can have your men do the scouting, I'll make a list of the addresses and any other information I can find on the properties."

She said, and then Alek asked her if there was any way to get past Cameron's powers. She shook her head again. No, not since she'd killed her mother.

"There isn't another telepath strong enough to oppose Cameron, not even the nascent Brenda Castle. It's likely to be years before the girl develops the skills necessary, and even then it's more probable that Cameron would kill her long before she presents a viable option for us. She might be useful as a temporary stall, but sacrificing her so soon seems like poor strategy."

Alek: Perhaps a certain Black Queen would like to make her indiscretion up to you by finding Cameron for you? She won't do it as a favor, but if we scare her enough... I could ask Arch to put pressure on her as well.

Haleigh considered his suggestion thoroughly for a few moments. Her anger was subsiding, mostly because she was thinking things through and trying to focus on solutions.

"I don't know... Archer's idea of putting pressure on women is cornering them in a barn and insisting they owe him some sexual favor. I don't like Brienne, but that doesn't mean I'd want to send some obnoxious pig to force himself on her."

Beyond that, Archer probably wouldn't be inclined to help, given their attack on him. Haleigh was starting to think she should've stayed neutral on Ava vs. Archer. Should she tell Alek about the plot? It seemed like such a small thing, compared to the giant clusterfuck they were facing. But it was going to come out sooner or later, and she didn't want Alek to think she deliberately kept it from him.

"Archer's chances of surviving the weekend are nil. Our own Black Queen didn't appreciate his... aggressive advances. I'm sorry, I know he's your friend... but I stand with my sister Queen on this one."

She told him, her hand on his arm. With that said, her mind went back to their own problem. They needed to know what Brienne had done, and then they could go from there.

"We need to confront Brienne ourselves, and see what she has to say for herself."

Hellfire - The Black Wing

Brienne was giving just as good as she got, and Zach liked the fire in her eyes. So he kept pushing, because Brienne was super sexy, not just because she was fully committed to having this fight in her underwear, but also her anger was threatening to arouse him again. She tried to say she didn't care about feelings, that they got you killed, and that she stayed withdrawn and unapproachable because she knew everyone would fawn over Juliette and Bretta.

"Yes, because while you 'don't give a shit about feelings', everybody else kind of DOES. We're all emotional creatures, whether or not we try to deny it. Juliette and Bretta accept this actuality, and manipulate it to their advantage by being 'nice'. You should try it, might get you some friends."

Brienne: [scoffing out] FRIENDS?! You think I want FRIENDS?! I don't NEED FRIENDS when I have POWER.

"You may tell yourself you don't need them, but YES. I think you want them. Otherwise you wouldn't BE so very pissed off about not having any."

He gave a dark smile.

"You can't lie to me about the way you feel, sweetheart."

She screamed for him to get out, but he wasn't about to scamper away with his tail tucked between his legs. Being dismissed only served to anger him further, enough that he tossed her suitcase and all those panties everywhere. It might've been funny if they weren't so furious. Now that he had her attention, he reminded her that he had a name.

Brienne: I learned your FUCKING NAME, Zachary Armani. Long before you dismissed me at the Red Hunt and left with your newly appointed BITCH princess.

"Oh, so you're just purposely demeaning me then. WHY? I've been respectful to YOU."

Brienne: But why the hell should I put in any more effort when the most respect I get is an order for someone like YOU to fuck me to keep me happy. Or someone like Alek to fuck me to keep me occupied. I'm more than just a FUCK you ASSHOLE. I'm a powerful WITCH from a very long and old bloodline. I'm the FUCKING BLACK QUEEN.

"Well why are you taking it out on ME?! I KNOW you're more than that -- I'M not the one who gave the orders! I'm just the fuck who got the assignment! At least they're making an attempt to keep you happy. They don't seem to give a damn what it does to ME. You don't get the monopoly on resentment, Black Queen."

He told her, as she used her magick to put her suitcase back together. He kept going, admitting he wanted her before Hellfire got in the way, and even after that, until she reminded him that really, it was all about the master plan. He'd thought they had something stronger than that, but she was so determined to eschew emotion. He asked her if she intended to go through life like that, meaningless flings one after the other.

Brienne: Meaningless keeps me from losing everything.

"It still leaves you with nothing."

Brienne: You may have wanted me before you were ordered to fuck me, but you surely don't now. It seems we both got what we wanted in the end, Zach.

"No, you're mistaken. I still want you, I just don't want it to be a part of some scheme or assignment any more. I want you. Not your title, not your bloodline, not your alliance. YOU. And I want to feel something real, honest. And I think you want that too, but you're just too afraid to face it."

The Red King’s Suite

Alek didn’t want to waste time on Brienne - she wasn’t the threat, Cameron was. Unless, of course, Haleigh would consider a threesome with her. Now that was the stuff dreams were made of.

Haleigh: "Don't get me wrong, because I'm definitely interested in a little third party action. But with her.... I'm more interested in murder than making out."

Alek gave her a lascivious grin.

“But you are interested.”

The sight of her in red, the thought of her and Brienne together...or maybe her and Ava, was stirring things up. But he forced himself to be serious, and when Haleigh spoke, it banished all those sort of thoughts from his mind. Her voice was quiet, and she looked worried.

Haleigh: "What if she cast a spell on me to make me think I was pregnant, but really I'm not?"

“Don’t even think that. Brienne couldn’t have known you were trying to get pregnant...that you could.

And he had been with her a lot of the time this weekend. And Brienne surely wouldn’t do something to enrage her hosts. Would she?

Haleigh: "If I became aware of the illusion, would it break the hex? Because my scans are still coming back positive. But what if that's part of the spell?"

“Hey, hey.”

He went over to her, and took her hands.

“Calm down. From what I know of magick, when the illusion was revealed, the charm would be broken. But we can have a doctor do the test, to be sure. To put your mind at ease.”

Haleigh: "God damn it, I fucking hate magick. It could be anything... any fucked up thing she wanted to do. If I'd have known she was going to make a move against me I'd have killed her before she could."

“I’m sure we’d know, if she had done something.”

Haleigh: "And Cameron.... How could he be so twisted up in his own fucking jealousy that he could totally ignore such a monumental issue and keep it from me?? How could he just fucking leave?! It's like I don't even know him anymore."

“He’s certainly showed his true colors this weekend.”

He didn’t even appreciate the fact that Haleigh, Haleigh, was his wife. He thought so little of her he wasn’t even going to fight for her. But Haleigh was angry, and that was good. She wasn’t the type of woman who could be blinded to reality.

But as much as Alek would like to let Cameron disappear off the face of the earth, they had to find him. He was too much a threat to not have him in their sights. Did they have an escape plan, a sanctuary somewhere in case things went wrong?

Haleigh: "No... we never talked about things like that.

He nodded. It was a start. A longshot, but something. He asked if she knew something the rest of them didn’t about subverting Cameron’s powers. But she said no, and no telepaths were strong enough. He looked at her darkly.

“We need to have a plan...if he comes.”

They couldn’t wait for him to attack to decide what they would do. He knew she knew that. He suggested that the Black Queen might be able to find Cameron with her magick, with the right motivation.

Haleigh: "I don't know... Archer's idea of putting pressure on women is cornering them in a barn and insisting they owe him some sexual favor. I don't like Brienne, but that doesn't mean I'd want to send some obnoxious pig to force himself on her."

He gave her a look.

“Come on, I know Archer isn’t the most popular monarch here this weekend, but that’s a little over the top, don’t you think?”

Yes, he liked the ladies, but he wasn’t a predator.

Haleigh: "Archer's chances of surviving the weekend are nil. Our own Black Queen didn't appreciate his... aggressive advances. I'm sorry, I know he's your friend... but I stand with my sister Queen on this one."

Disbelief flashed across his face, then anger. He clenched his fist.

“Did he...?”

If he had, Alek would kill him. Thankfully, Haleigh indicated no, and he relaxed a little.

Haleigh: "We need to confront Brienne ourselves, and see what she has to say for herself."

“Agreed. Even without Archer, the two of us can put the fear of retribution into her pretty successfully, I think.”

John: "Captain Comfortable? That sounds like a super hero from the Land of Misfit Toys!"

"Would you prefer fuzzy bosom?" [:p]

Ava laughed at that, loving that she was getting a rise out of John about how much of a softy he was around her despite the cold and harden persona he puts on for everyone else.

John: "Am I really that boring?"

Ava lifted her head giving him a look of disbelief.

"No, you're not that boring. If you were I wouldn't be sitting in your lap right now."

Ava knew what everyone thought of John. They respected him, probably more so than any other member within the Inner Circle. He did his duty without complaint. He was respectful and diligent. And most of all he was loyal. But because he was loyal to Ava above anyone else, they looked at him as some kind of love sick puppy that followed her around. It amused Ava at first because she knew he was anything but that. But now it began to piss her off because unlike Cameron and Alek, John actually had his shit together.

Ava pressed her lips against John's wanting to prove that she didn't find him boring, but the sweet kiss turned into something more heated, her mouth pressing deeply against his as she began to taste him. Her body was already responding to him, and she could feel his responding to her as well. He pulled her against him, Ava telling him that he was hers and no one elses. Open relationships be damned.

John: "I'll never want anyone else."

John's hand easily slipped through the plunging neckline of her jumpsuit top, sliding down into the waistband of her pants. The top fell off her shoulders, Ava shrugging the loose bell sleeve fabric off her arms so her breasts were exposed.

John: "But I am going to burn every damn pair of slacks you own."

Ava cocked up an amused brow at that, the tone of his voice indicating he wasn't playing around in his threat.

"You better fucking not."

She gave him a challenging yet playful grin before his mouth collided with hers in a heavy kiss. John laid Ava back on the couch, and as he undid his belt and pants, Ava unzipped the side of her own pants and pushed them down over her hips quickly, her lip never leaving his. John pulled her slacks off the rest of the way, feeling his hard cock pressing against the inside of her leg.

John: "God, Ava, I need you."

"I'm yours."

Before the words even left her mouth John pushed inside her, Ava's neck extending back and eyes rolling shut at the feeling. She moaned immediately as John's hips began to fuck her with a a desperate need. His mouth attacked her breasts, sucking her sensitive nipples and causing her to arch into his touch. Each connection from him made Ava's moans grow louder and louder. She gripped his back tightly, her nails digging into his skin as she held herself in place; the force of his thrusts pushing her against the arm of the couch.

"Make me come, baby...."

Her words breathless by his ear yet filled with a need of her own.

"Show me who's King..."

Ava bit John's shoulder with a guttural moan, her tongue soothing his skin. He may have doubted his new title, but Ava would make sure he would never doubt that he ruled her body.

Clara Oswald
Clara Oswald
LMFAO fuzzy bosom
Zach was being a little asshole, telling her that she needed to be 'nicer' in order to gain alliances. Bullshit. Nice got you nowhere but six feet under. It may have worked for Bretta and Juliette now, but it wouldn't last. Evelyn was a prime example of THAT. Friendship was a lie made up by people who were too naive to realize they were being taken advantage of. She didn't need friends when she had power.

Zach: "You may tell yourself you don't need them, but YES. I think you want them. Otherwise you wouldn't BE so very pissed off about not having any. You can't lie to me about the way you feel, sweetheart."

"Fuck you."

She growled before screaming at Zach to get out. She HATED empaths and their ability to take any bit of emotion they felt and somehow twist it to their advantage. She had let herself open up a little bit to Alek and got tossed away like a piece of trash - Zach obviously picking up on the harboring resentment she felt for the Red King. He was being a dick about it, deciding to throw her suitcase across the room and into the wall to somehow emphasize his point. He was angry because she didn't use his name, like he was anything to her buy the White Rook of the American Branch. Brienne was fully aware of exactly who Zachary Armani was, his affiliation with the UN, his power set, what car he drove, and his fucking astrology sign. She did her homework on EVERYONE.

Zach: "Oh, so you're just purposely demeaning me then. WHY? I've been respectful to YOU."

"Respectful? You call coming here under orders respectful? I refer to you as a Rook because that's your title. You want to follow protocol so fucking much, well THERE YOU GO!"

Brienne was heated now, yelling at Zach that him getting ordered to fuck her was far from respectful, just as Alek being tasked to keep her occupied was. The entire American Branch was treating her like she was nothing but a baseline pawn. That she wasn't one of the most powerful witches in the world - like she wasn't the fucking Black Queen.

Zach: "Well why are you taking it out on ME?! I KNOW you're more than that -- I'M not the one who gave the orders! I'm just the fuck who got the assignment!"

"Well congratulations! You completed your task! Gold star for you, Zach!"

She spat back.

Zach: "At least they're making an attempt to keep you happy. They don't seem to give a damn what it does to ME. You don't get the monopoly on resentment, Black Queen."

Brienne shook her head, not wanting to go further down this path. This was the path of no return. The path of emotions that weren't of the sexual nature. Zach asked her if she wanted to go through life with one meaningless fling after another instead of finding someone who would actually like her for her. But Brienne had come to the conclusion a long time ago that meaningless flings keep her from losing everything.

Brienne brought her bag to the door, her back to Zach.

Zach: "It still leaves you with nothing."

She stared forward for a moment, quiet. Why was he doing this? Why was he so dead pressed on making her feel something. He had done his job, he had fucked her and made her come many many times. Why couldn't he just fucking leave. She finally turned around to face Zach, the anger that was rolling off of her subsiding a bit. She just wanted him to go at this point, feeling far too vulnerable around him.

"You may have wanted me before you were ordered to fuck me, but you surely don't now. It seems we both got what we wanted in the end, Zach."

Zach: "No, you're mistaken. I still want you, I just don't want it to be a part of some scheme or assignment any more. I want you. Not your title, not your bloodline, not your alliance. YOU. And I want to feel something real, honest. And I think you want that too, but you're just too afraid to face it."

Brienne's brows were creased as she looked at him with a mixture of disbelief and pain. She now understood why Haleigh kept him as her Rook; he was damn good at his job because for a split second....Brienne almost believed him.

"Why are you doing this?"

She whispered.

"Is it because I used magick on your Queen?"

Maybe Cameron had finally told his Queen about the Red Hunt. Or Erika before she ordered Zach to fuck her.

"I told you...I didn't know about Cameron's aversion to magick. I didn't hurt Haleigh.."

And she didn't, though her little magickal fuckery did have some very lasting consequences unforeseen by ANYONE. Brienne shook her head, taking a step back, her arms folded defensively across her chest, the thought of Zach actually being honest with her about as far fetched as Alek knocking up Haleigh while she was already pregnant with Cameron's kid: 1 in a million.

Hellfire -- The Red Lounge

They talked of children again, and this time it was with sadness. She said she longed for the closeness of having created a child together. He told her they could be that way even without a child, and he pulled her closer to prove it. She buried her face in his chest, and said that she knew, but if she could bear him children he'd love her more. Who put these thoughts in her head? Alek? Savage almost got angry, but more important than his outrage was her sorrow.

"No, no, my Queen. I love you more with every passing day, and not having children will not diminish that fact."

He promised, and then, thankfully, she changed the subject. But it wasn't long before interruption pulled them from their embrace. His Queen was not happy to hear the Black Knight wanted to speak with them, and she tried to tell AJ that he shouldn't accompany her, but he wasn't about to accept that. He insisted that he stay with her, because something was clearly amiss and he wasn't about to wallow around lazily while she went out with him. There were guards, but he wouldn't entrust them.

But her concern was not of her safety, but rather, it was focused on Amanda's intentions for AJ. His Queen was not just annoyed, but clearly jealous. He didn't say another word. It took all his effort to stifle a smile. She was jealous because she cared, and didn't like to think of him with someone else. Apparently she didn't even want Amanda to see him shirtless again. He didn't point out that everyone had seen him stark naked at the Hunt yesterday. There was no need to stoke her jealousy further. So instead he walked her to the Red Lounge, and maintained a very neutral expression when they began to meet with Amanda.

The Black Knight had some perplexing news to share, about the Inner Circle's recent movements. His Queen was a little testy with Amanda, but AJ didn't say a word. The Black Knight could navigate that on her own, because he wasn't about to intervene, unless it came to blows, and even then he might not stop them from settling their... Differences? Similarities? Whatever it was, he knew better than to get in between it. Instead, he commented on the White King, who'd apparently left his pregnant wife with the little bear. But what would make him do THAT? Ashley supposed it had something to do with Cameron's mother.

Ash: But he would never leave her in Alek's protection. He would have come to me, or Ava...Heidi even.

"Well he DID try to come talk to us, last night, on the dance floor, before his sister dragged him away."

He replied, and she too wondered what would make Cameron run away, because even if it was trouble with his mother, his actions were baffling. AJ watched his Queen think quietly, because half the things these modern people did were way beyond HIS ability to fathom. Case in point: a married couple openly committing adultery.

Ash: Surely Haleigh's not left Cameron?

"But why would she do that, when she took such astounding risk to have children with him?"

He gave a growl of frustration.

"Why don't we just walk down the hall and ask her what this is all about?"

The Black King Queen's Suite

The names just kept getting worse.

"Fuzzy Bosom?!"

He leaned his head on the back of the sofa.

"Why don't you just kill me and get it over with?"

He asked her if he was truly that boring.

Ava: "No, you're not that boring. If you were I wouldn't be sitting in your lap right now."

She was sitting in his lap. He leaned down and nipped at her neck.

"Why not, Captain Incredible?"

He switched sides.

"Mister Fantastic
?"

She kissed him softly, then deepened it, before they were pulling off clothing and heatedly connecting. He moved above her with unquenchable need, touching her with his mouth, hands, cock. She felt so good he thought he might actually die, not being able to stand the pleasure of it. He moved from her breasts to her neck, and felt Ava's hot breath at his ear.

Ava: "Show me who's King..."

She bit his shoulder, and he intensified his movements, thrusting roughly into her. He grunted with each exertion, knowing she was close, wanting to feel her body lose control beneath his. He found her hands and interlocked their fingers, lifting his head so he could see into her eyes. And then her body tensed, and he watched her come, felt her come. He slowed as her body shuddered, letting go of her hands and using his own to trail lightly over her skin, caressing her body, still moving slowly but rhythmically. Still watching her eyes.

"Ava..."

His lips brushed against hers.

"I'm your King...I don't care about anyone else..."

John: "Fuzzy Bosom?! Why don't you just kill me and get it over with?"

Ava was cracking up at John's reaction, her hands on his cheek trying to guide his head up from the couch that he so defeatedly let fall back. Her smile was big, a lightness and humor in her eyes.

"Nooo, you're far too cute to kill."

Ava raised her eyebrows, looking as if she were just caught with her hand in the cookie jar.

"Rugged and fearsome...I meant, rugged and fearsome."

She cracked a smile once again, chuckling as John asked if her were that boring to be considering fuzzy and comfortable. Ava took offense to that, explaining that there was no way in hell she would ever associate herself with, let alone be in love with, someone who was weak and boring. Ava always surrounded herself with strong men, John being the strongest by far. That seemed to temper his macho embarrassment as he dipped his head to her neck and began to nip her neck playfully.

John: "Why not, Captain Incredible? Mister Fantastic?"

Ava bit her bottom lip as John's teeth bit her neck, feeling exactly how turned on he was getting. There was no doubt in her mind his codename suited him both professionally and in the bedroom.

"Mmmm...no...Steel is perfect."

Ava's mouth then met with his, the kiss becoming heated quickly. They were quick to discard their clothes, despite John's obvious hatred for her very stylish and sexy pant suit. But he managed around it, pulling it from her body with ease and sliding inside of her instantaneously. Ava let out a moan of pleasure, gripping John's back at the feel of him pumping relentlessly against her with an urgent need. She wanted him to make her come and told him to show her he was her King. Ava bit John's shoulder, sucking his skin before trailing kisses to the crook of his neck. That seemed to fuel him even more, his thrusts becoming quicker and harder causing Ava's head to fall back against the couch and groan out deeply in pleasure. John's hand found hers, interlinking their fingers together, her own hand gripping his tightly. With each connection he pushed her further to her pleasure point, Ava's eyes filled with a growing need as her body began to tense around his cock. John was watching her, their eyes locked intimately. Ava's breathing was shaky as her grip on his hand and on his back intensified until finally her body began to shudder beneath John's, Ava crying out in utter ecstasy.

Trembling beneath him in aftershocks of pleasure, Ava's eyes shut, unable to keep them open as she rode the high he gave her. John's movements became slow now, his touch gentle and soothing. Ava whimpered out soft sounds of pleasure as he slowly rolled his hips against her, her body still pulsing around him. Her mind was dizzy and her body was soaking up everything he was doing to her.

John: "Ava..."

Finally Ava opened her eyes, the darkness within them filled with euphoria as they met with his. He was still watching her, touching her, fucking her. It made her want to come again it was so sexy. His lips brushed against hers as he spoke, Ava's hand running down the back of his neck and holding him there.

John: "I'm your King...I don't care about anyone else..."

Ava kissed him deeply, her hips rolling to meet with his now.

"I will always be your Queen.."

She spoke between their kiss, her legs wrapping around his waist and her arms clutching around his back.

"Fill me...I want every part of you..."

She moaned against his lips, her body already close to coming once again. But this time, she wanted to bring John with her.

Hellfire -- The Red King’s Suite

Alek, in his endearingly perverse way, took the opportunity to suggest a threesome with Brienne. Haleigh rolled her eyes, and told him that she wasn’t against threesomes, but would rather murder Brienne than make out with her. Of course, Alek focused on the part of her answer that agreed to what he wanted. And the way he was looking at her now made her want to forget about all this trouble and just go back to bed. She smiled wickedly for a moment.

And then in the back of her mind, horror took root. What if Brienne had bewitched her into believing she was pregnant? What if all the strife of the last eighteen hours was catalyzed by that con? Her husband had left her, was probably planning on killing her. What if her babies didn’t exist at all, except as a figment of her imagination? Alek refused to believe it, and reasoned that Brienne couldn’t have known enough about Haleigh to even know that would be an effective curse. Still, Haleigh’s mind was racing with questions, and her heart was sinking hard.

Alek: Hey, hey. Calm down. From what I know of magick, when the illusion was revealed, the charm would be broken. But we can have a doctor do the test, to be sure. To put your mind at ease.

He said, taking her hands in his, interrupting her internal worrying. She relaxed a little, nodding, liking the logic of it. She told him she hated magick, that she’d have killed Brienne if she’d known the voodoo witch would make a move against her like this. Alek was sure they’d know if Brienne had done something.

“Maybe she did something to both of us and that’s why we don’t know.”

She replied, and then she expressed her frustration with Cameron. How could he not tell her about this? How could he abandon her, right now of all times? Alek commented that Cameron had shown his true colors this weekend. Haleigh nodded grimly.

“My thoughts exactly. I thought he’d be happy, I went to such lengths to give him a son. But instead of celebrating he wanted to argue about your involvement. I tried to reason with him, but when I told him you’d offered to protect the baby he went full tilt crazy, saying no man would protect his son but HIM, and that he’d destroy anybody who tried. And then now, he’s left his son completely unprotected....”

She told him, shaking her head softly. If someone had warned her this would happen, she would have laughed in their face. She wouldn’t have believed it, she could hardly believe it now. Alek asked if she knew where Cameron might go, but all she could come up with was his investment properties. It was unlikely, but worth the search. He was right, it would be better to find him before his plans were finalized. And they needed to have a plan of their own, if he came. She nodded, because he was right about that too.

“We should inform the Inner Circle, warm them all. We’ll be stronger as a group. Some of them will be soft on their stance, not wanting to go against him.... those are the ones we need to watch for betrayal.”

She said, and he suggested they utilize Brienne, and Archer. She wasn’t interested in sending Archer to pressure Brienne, knowing how Archer was, and she told Alek that in no uncertain terms. It wasn’t a surprise that he considered her statement slightly hyperbolic. She elaborated a bit, and as John had thought, Alek was angered by the news. He asked a partial question, and Haleigh shook her head gently.

“No. It is Ava we’re talking about. She didn’t let him get far. He’s lucky to have survived. But she did retaliate, and I don’t think he’s going to accept it meekly. Be prepared for him to make a scene. I caught him talking with Ava’s father after they got kicked from the party last night.”

She warned, and then she settled on the next priority. They needed to confront Brienne and see what she tried to say in her defense. He agreed, saying that even without Archer they could work Brienne. A smile snuck in on Haleigh’s lips.

“Yeah, we’re a formidable team.”

She said, her hands sliding up his chest and into his scalp as she leaned into him, her gaze locked on his.

“It’s nice to know you have my back in all this. I don’t know what I’d do without you....”

She said, and she pulled his face down gently so she could kiss him.

The Black King & Queen's Suite

Ava thought all of this highly amusing. He was glad he could be a source of her amusement. His manhood was taking a dive though. Next he was pretty sure she was going to start calling him her cuddle bunny.

Thankfully, she started speaking more suggestively, and their kisses turned to more, until Ava was spasming under him on the couch. He had been rough but now slowed, feeling everything, watching her, caressing her. She kissed him again, her body coming back into sync with his.

Ava: "I will always be your Queen.."

Her legs came around his waist, and he wanted to come so badly.

Ava: "Fill me...I want every part of you..."

He lifted himself up on his hands, hovering over her. He slipped himself out of her fully, a groan escaping his own lips as he did so. He rubbed his tip against her wet sex before sheathing himself fully back inside of her. He repeated that motion, again and again, before staying inside her on the last time, pushing deeper as he rolled his hips against her. He dipped his head to take her mouth, his hips still pulsing deep within her with even strokes. He could feel her close again, and he as well, the pressure building inside of him making his movements more rapid, furtive. He moaned with each connection, every inch of his body feeling as if it was on fire, from touching her.

And then she gripped his body tight, pulsing around his cock, and he pressed all the way inside of her and came, the release so complete he felt as if his entire body was now emptied. He came down on his forearms to kiss her tenderly, lingeringly. He whispered her name again, his eyes finding hers, his fingers stroking her cheek. She was his perfect Queen, and she was his.

He gently rolled onto his side and pulled her against him so he could wrap his arms around her.

"We can make this work, you and I."

He leaned in to kiss her softly.

"Whatever happens, we'll get through it. We're stronger than the others."

The Red King's Suite

Haleigh was doing what, for her, was freaking out. It surprised him that she seemed genuinely worried that these babies were all an illusion. When, from her perspective, really, that would solve all her problems. No second baby from him in her belly, ample opportunity to make up with her husband and get pregnant with his child for real. But it wasn't relief she was feeling at the thought. He tried to calm her, telling her they'd realize what she'd done now that they knew she'd done something.

Haleigh: “Maybe she did something to both of us and that’s why we don’t know.”

"You're going to make yourself crazy thinking like that."

Haleigh was not being complimentary to Cameron, either, which Alek took great pleasure in. That he would share her in the first placed showed what little regard Cameron had for his wife. And now, this.

Haleigh: “My thoughts exactly.

Alek shook his head sadly.

"Cameron didn't mind sharing you, though will not share his son."

Alek put a hand on her arm.

"But he's not unprotected."

He asked her about places Cameron might go: they had to find him, and figure out a plan to stop him if he came for Haleigh or the baby.

Haleigh: “We should inform the Inner Circle, warn them all. We’ll be stronger as a group. Some of them will be soft on their stance, not wanting to go against him.... those are the ones we need to watch for betrayal.”

He nodded.

"Surely they will rally around you. Not me..."

Thinking of Ava, Ashley.

"But definitely you. Cameron is acting like a madman - they will not allow him to harm you. Except..."

He realized she hadn't been thinking of her other queens.

"The White Court. Zach will be with you, but Heidi will side with him. We'll need to watch her carefully. Erika seems to not want a war between you two but she would side with her brother if forced. And Gia? Who knows."

He looked at her intently.

"You can't stay in the White Wing until this is resolved."

It's enemy territory.

"Are you sure you won't go away, hide out until it's safe?"

He suggested they put pressure on Brienne to help find Cameron. Arch might even help, he said. But then Haleigh revealed that Archer had made unwanted advances on Ava. Despite his feelings about the Black Queen, that was unforgivable. He asked if Archer had been successful, and if he had, Alek absolutely planned on killing him. In front of the rest of the visitors, as a warning.

Haleigh: “No. It is Ava we’re talking about. She didn’t let him get far. He’s lucky to have survived. But she did retaliate, and I don’t think he’s going to accept it meekly. Be prepared for him to make a scene. I caught him talking with Ava’s father after they got kicked from the party last night.”

"If he makes a scene I'll make sure every member of the London club knows EXACTLY what he did."

He backtracked, suggesting that even without Archer they could pressure Brienne, especially know that they knew she had done something to Haleigh.

Haleigh: “Yeah, we’re a formidable team.”

Her hands were sliding up his bare chest, making him smile.

"You can be bad cop."

It came out lower than his normal voice, husky with her closeness.

Haleigh: “It’s nice to know you have my back in all this. I don’t know what I’d do without you....”

He chuckled.

"Kick ass, probably."

She pulled him to her and their lips met, his arms wrapping around her, his body pressing against hers like she were a magnet.

"I'll always have your back, no matter what."

He kissed her again, tasting her this time. He knew they should be going to interview Brienne. Telling the rest of the Inner Circle what the situation was. Coming up with a plan to hold off Cameron. His head knew all of these things, but a part of him also knew that this might be the last time he got to hold her. That at any moment she might change her mind about him, or Cameron might come home. But for now, she was in his arms, and she wanted to be. And she wasn't going anywhere.

John's movements slowed yet still gave her such heightened pleasure it was intoxicating. She was dizzy off him, loosing herself in the moment. It wasn't until he said her name that Ava was brought back to reality and looked up to see him watching her. His hands stroked her body, his cock pushing deep into her. Ava's moans were soft as her body finally settled from her climax, but she wanted more. She wanted to feel John come inside her; to be as close as two people could physically and emotionally be. This wasn't just fucking to feel good...this was the definition of making love. Ava told John to fill her completely, her arms and legs enveloping around him like a siren's call. She could see the look in his eyes change as he lifted to his hands before withdrawing himself. Ava's face fell and brows furrowed, her mouth parting to protest. But then she felt him rub the tip the length of her wet sex before pushing deep inside her, a long moan replacing the urge to object. He kept repeating the motion, the act driving Ava wild. She whispered John's name against his lips as he kissed her, her body pressing into his thrusts until she felt herself clench around him. That was when John's movements became more rapid and filled with need, the sudden change in speed driving Ava once again into the abyss of pleasure, moaning loudly as she came, but this time taking John with her.

The warmth overtook her, her body trembling beneath his as he came down onto his forearms, still pressed intimately within her. Ava's grip on him became more lax, but still holding him close. She kissed him gently, out of breath and still very much reeling from what he did to her. John moved off her and against the inside of the couch, Ava rollin onto her side and wrapping her arms around him, their legs tangled together on the small space. She kissed his chin then his lips softly, finally content for the moment.

John: "We can make this work, you and I. Whatever happens, we'll get through it. We're stronger than the others."

Ava gently nodded, her mind wondering to the situation as her eyes lowered just a bit in thought.

"Do you think i'm overreacting?"

A part of her wondered if John was just humoring her - being supportive because he was her King. She lifted her gaze to meet with his again.

"Truthfully...."

She always looked to John and her sister Queen's for guidance....but Haleigh and Ashley were non factors at the moment; Haleigh likely gaining favor from Ashley.

"I feel like I lost my two best friends [Haleigh and Ashley]....but I can't get this overwhelming feeling of anger to stop. Of jealousy and pain - I just....I hate feeling so out of control, John."

It was why she wanted to stay in Arklay. To get away from the chaos of Hellfire because she already felt like she was spinning out of control.
