Marvel Fairytales

[Karma]

beautifully written by C. B. Cebulski with art by different artists each issue. Each of these series adapts fairytales and folk tales from around the world, using analogues of famous Marvel superheroes in place of the major characters.

Has anyone else read any of these?

I recently read: Peter Pan, or the boy who wouldnt grow up featuring the Avengers ; Adventures of Pinnochio featuring Hank Pym, Vision, Wasp, Scarlett Witch & Ultron [ this one was VERY cute & well done to me] ; The Wizard of Oz, Featuring She-Hulk as Dorothy, Captain America as the Cowardly Lion, Iron Man as the Tin Man, Thor as the Scarecrow, Magneto as the Wizard, and Scarlett Witch as the Wicked Witch of the West. This one was also very creative & well done. & finally, a retelling the African folk tale of The Tortoise and the Eagle, with the tortoise representing Professor X and the eagle Magneto. This one was very tender & had a sad ending to it.

[Clara Oswald]

Hmm I haven't read any of these but I read one of those other fairy tale based ones - can't remember what they're called. But they're like the characters in the real world?

[Black King]

they're cute and some of them are really nice, i think they maintain a good popularity

they are very cute & some are heart touching too. the tortoise & eagle one, along w/ pinnochio were the best I've read so far. the characters used in each one were perfect casting & w/ all the shit happening around MU over the last few years, fairytales are a nice diversion. I hope they do another follow up- same writer.
