You know, I always had the impression that the main characters on Dynasty were all really old, but they weren't really I guess.

to us, @ that time, they wouldve seemed "old". we were among the youngest watchers of the show, & it seems like the main characters: alexis, blake, krysle & dominique, were all between late 40s thru late 50s.
Fallon, Steven, Jeff, Sammy Jo & the other younger characters were all mid-late 20s thru mid 30s.
the show focused on the older adults rather than the younger until season 9, & you dont see that kind of thing in todays youth obsessed tv landscape.
