Ikaris
Guest
Ikaris walks through Club Blaze alone but for his consort and companion Wyatt. In normal times, the Club would be a hotbed of activity as it was one of the few places that the members of the Masters of Evil and the Crusaders of Power could gather together without battling. Here within these walls, alliances were formed, loves found and Challenges made. Tonight however, the building seemed hollow, as even the ghosts of past members of both Covens were quiet. Each of the Covens had recently gone through tremendous changes in leadership as well as membership. Riana and Kurama both had forsaken the dark pathways and ascended to the highest levels within the forces of Light. Grimacing at the thought of their betrayal, Ikaris tries to focus on the matter at hand. The Leaders of both Covens had met upon Neutral Grounds to discuss the matters at hand and had declared a temporary truce. To celebrate the changes within both groups, a Gala event would be thrown. The theme of Ancient Greece was agreed upon as it was a time period that had seen a nearly perfect balance between the forces of Good and Evil. Having lived through the time period, Ikaris was a perfect choice to handle the décor and the task would help to keep his mind from the anger he felt.
Raising his hand, Ikaris casts shadows over everything in the Club, blanketing it in the ebon darkness that was his birthright. Once the shadows covered the buildings from top to bottom, he used his magics to transport the furnishings into storage. The shadows race back to their Master’s hand, revealing the barrenness, as even the walls had been stripped down to the bare paint. Ikaris holds his hand out to Wyatt who takes it without hesitation. Wyatt’s orbing power and Ikaris’ shadows combine and wash over the Club creating a strobe like effect. Where it passes, a transformation occurs. The doorways are replaced with columns and arches of white marble, walls become whitewashed stucco and are decorated with frescos depicting various legends of Greek Myth. Hercules is shown in battle against the Nimean Lion, Eris, goddess of discord arranging the beauty contest that led to the Trojan War, Zeus seducing Europa and Dionysus leading his rabid band of Maenads through the countryside. Statues of Heroes and Monsters appear decorating the rooms, each strangely lifelike with eyes that seem to either plead for relief or follow one angrily as they pass. Dioramas forged of intricate illusions show various mythological beings, the spells carefully crafted to allow the illusions to speak to those standing nearby. Medusa’s head of snakes will hiss at those passing and should they dare to meet Medusa’s gaze, a minor paralysis spell holds the “victim” in place for a moment before releasing them. Fountains appear in the center of each room, flowing with sparkling waters. A multi-headed Hydra sculpture made of ice serves as a centerpiece as well as providing the drinks of choice for those who place their goblets beneath its heads. Reclining couches and piles of pillows are set in various areas so that people can relax while still watching the festivities. Grapevines of all varieties begin to climb up the walls and then begin producing fruit. The smell of bay leaves burning wafts through the air combining with the sweet smell of sandalwood. A light breeze filters through the room and the faint cry of seagulls can be heard from outside. The sun shines through the windows brightening the room. When “night” came to this place, smokeless torches would light themselves and illuminate the rooms. Food and drink would be served from the kitchens of the Hellfire Club, which would also provide the servants to attend to the partygoers. Music and entertainment would come from various entertainers that each Coven had contact with. Several special guests would also be performing. With everything complete, Ikaris looks over at the very tired appearing Wyatt and smiles gently at the young man. He feeds Wyatt a measure of his own power which revives him quickly. With a final look about the Club, they step into one of the shadows that Ikaris conjures and vanish.
